I observed that being a Rhuematoid arthritis patient, my joints got painful and stiff after i started taking above medicines within 2 days. Can someone tell me if these drugs got any side effects on arthritis? Should I stop taking some medicine out of these? Thanks.

Pale light yellow ,ROUND pill,on one side it says 7 . 5 And the otherside is BLANK AND SMOOTH.... ANY IDEAS as to what this may be? ## Hi cricket, I found two pills that appear to fit your description. The first is identified as Meloxicam (7.5 mg); which is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug, used to relieve the symptoms of arthritis, primary dysmenorrhea, fever; and as an analgesic. The second is identified as Olanzapine (7.5 mg); which is used to treat schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression; obsessive compulsive disorder, schizoaffective disorder, and more. Of these two pills, Meloxicam is the only one I've seen a photo of, but both pills share the same description. For further verification, the manufacturer of this Meloxicam pill is Lupin Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and the Nat...

Can a 15 mg Meloxicam be cut in half? I have reactions to anti-inflammatory and would like to see if I can get by with 7.5 mg but already have a full bottle of 15 mg. ## Generally, if there is a score line on the pill, it is meant to be cut in half for these circumstances. But if there is not one, this can safely be done with any medication that is not time released and/or does not specifically instruct you not to do so. Just be sure to continue to take it as recommended by your doctor. ## Is Mobic (generic for meloxicam) time release ?...just wondering since it is once daily.

A friend has stopped taking Beline as she was bleeding but is now taking Celabolin and says she is pain free. Does anyone know what this is and why it takes pain away. It also says like Beline that it contains all natural ingredients ## Along with vitamins, minerals and various herbal extracts, one of the ingredients in Celadrin, which they claim helps with arthritis pain and stiffness. However, it should be noted, of course, that while they make such claims, these types of products aren't actually proven to do anything. Are there any other questions?

I'm taking the antibiotic for a UTI, I was wondering if it would help or not with my poison ivy? ## Hi Kimberly. Generally, for poison ivy treatment, a cortisone preparation may be prescribed as well, which can be taken orally, injected, or applied locally as a cream. If it got infected, then I would definitely give Nitrofurantoin a shot at it for 5-10 days, depending upon what your doctor suggests. I heard of another poison ivy victim using Azithromycin 250 mg 2 times daily for 5 days for relief, in conjunction with steroids/cortisone. Were you able to get it checked out by a physician yet?

Some advice I can give you is to not specifically ask for any 'specific medication' when you see a new doctor. Make sure to transfer or take a copy of all your medical records with you. Then, the best approach is to discuss up front and honestly what has or hasn't worked for you in the past. Most doctors will...

Is Limbrel (contains goitogens) ok to take if I am hypo thyroid and on Levothyroxine? ## Based on my research there are no drug interactions found between Limbrel and Levothyroxine. This does not necessarily mean no interactions exist, but my sources state that every effort has been made to ensure that the information provided is accurate. Also to note: Limbrel is contraindicated in an extremely small number of patients; being those with hypersensitivity to any component of flavocoxid or to flavonoids. Unless you were diagnosed with this hypersensitivity then I wouldn't worry about this interaction. Does this help to answer your question? Please post back if you have any other comments or concerns regarding this. ## Very helpful. Thank you very much.
