Are Benzos And Clonazepam Date Rape Drugs?

Are Benzodiazepenes, Clonazepam, and such used for a date rape drug? And what do they do to a person?

This is a difficult question because date rape drug is such a loose term, technically speaking even tylenol pm could be considered a date rape drug is used in such a manner. What I believe you are asking is if clonazepam is the drug for the term "roofie", if that's what you are asking then the answer is no. Roofies most commonly refer to rohypnol which is also a benzodiazepine like clonazepam.

I won't go too far into the specifics of it but ultimately any drug that impairs the ability of a person to make decisions can be used as a date rape drug. Benzodiazepines are used primarily for people who have anxiety and muscle relaxant but also comes with a multitute of side effects which include drowsiness, slurred speech, impaired motor coordination, nausea and blackouts.
