Arcoxia And Weight Gain
UpdatedI understand that Arcoxia is prescribed for anti-inflammation after my surgery. I have 2 weeks supply. I suspect that it's the cause of my weight gain of 3kg in 1 week! Is this temporary or will I be stuck with the excess weight?

This medication contains the active ingredient Etoricoxib, it is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory.
The NIH lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, headache, stomach irritation, and increased risk of bleeding. It may also cause fluid retention, so you should have any dramatic weight gain checked out by your doctor, to be safe. Fluid retention may lead to other dangers, such as congestive heart failure.
How are you doing, now? Has there been any change?
