Apo Naproxen 500

I m male age 60. Suffered right lower abdomen pain at very close to lowest rib tip. But sometime OK and sometime the pain move from right to left. Some time I feel lower back mussel getting pain. Dr. gave me this Apo- 500. During treatment it is OK but no more medicine. I m sailing and far away from doctor. What is this disease. Is it due to wind or gastric. Is there any side effect if use long term on Apo-500.

I'm sorry, but from just the basic information in a post on the internet, no one is going to be able to give you a definitive diagnosis on what is causing your problem.

There are many possibilities and they require medical tests to confirm which one it is.

And yes, there can be problems if you use the Naproxen for a long period of time. It is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, so prolonged use can cause medical problems, such as ulcers, gastritis, high blood pressure and congestive heart failure.

Have you tried using antacids to see if they help with or prevent the pain?
