Any Doctor Near Chicago That Will Prescribe Me Pain, Anxiety Meds?

I have documentation that I was on these meds before. I was on 30mg oxycodone 3x daily, 10mg hydrocodone 4x daily, 30mg adderall twice daily, and 2mg Xanax 4x daily. My doctor was just getting too expensive, does anyone know any doctor around the chicago area that is easy going when it comes to prescribing meds? Thanks so much I just don't want to see a doctor and just walk out with ibuprofen for example. Thanks

Hello, Mike! How are you?

There are no doctors that are easy going about prescribing such medications, anymore. New regulations were put in place last year, which they must abide by, or they risk losing their license to practice medicine.

If you require these medications on a long-term ongoing basis for the treatment of chronic pain, you'll need to see specialists to have them prescribed, now. That will likely be even more expensive than what you were paying for the one doctor to prescribe them all.

The issue is that all of these medications have the potential to cause some serious side effects and they could also be habit forming.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Try Dr. Eugene Lipov. He's in Hoffman Estates and Westmont. My husband uses him. He gives everything...but does drug panels almost monthly. To cover his rear...ya know. ;-)

Kari, I am 26 years old, do you think he will still be ok or will I be labeled a pill addict if I ask for pain medication for legit back pain. Reason I ask is because most doctors will treat their patients like they are addicts when we ask for specific needs, especially opiates.

I say that if you can function in your daily life using norco or some other narcotic, then you should be able to. It doesn't make u a drug seeker or addict if you have chronic pain and you know what works for you. Docs don't always know what drugs work and don't for everyone. Chronic pain is awful and when you can't cook or do laundry or grocery shop because of this and the depression that often accompanies. If a narcotic helps you to function, then so be it. It beats not being able to get off the couch or take care of your family. I say this from experience, I have tried everything under the sun to manage my fibro pain, the only thing that works is norco. I am on so many other drugs, why? When I know of just one that really helps me. It doesn't make me high, it kills the pain.

I need to find a doctor in NH (concord area) willing to prescribe 5 or 10mg oxycodone tabs as well as xanax and ambien. I have been on these meds for 10 years (xanax and zolpidem tartate) however...I consumed a medicinal chocolate bar (cannabis) and now she will no longer prescribe! Despite having seizures..chronic pain and long lasting insomnia. She dumped me without warning and now..once I run out of the xanax I will most likely have a seizure...any suggestions?

I live around Chi and I get ADD meds, depression meds and anxiety meds from my psych doc. I would look for one. Although, they won't help for pain obviously. Sorry I'm not much help here.

Who was that dr.? I get the same but I am trying to switch the anxiety meds and mine won't budge. I also got insurance! I need a doctor just to prescribe xanax.

My husband are on all the drugs listed and has no problem getting his meds. He has been on those meds for past 6 years. His original doctor had heart failure and closed his office. I found doctor who diagnosed my husband with his problems before they worsened provided him with updates and list of medicines and he had no problem prescribing meds for him. He currently treats our entire family now and comes to house for doctors appt. My husband is 38 and has been having health issues since 25. My husband was also his first medical marijuana patient.

I agree I only use what is prescribed for my herniated disc L4 & L5 which has shifted 35%. My pain Dr. Is so nice and concerned about helping me. He gives me Norco 5/35 160 tabs monthly, but I don't use all I try to only take as needed. I usually have left over each month and tell the Dr. Then he will prescribe less the next month. But Norco is the only medication that does take my pain away. I've had epidurals, but now that I'm on Xarelto for clots and afib he's afraid of bleeding. So what about us who really use it for pain? Why does the Government think everyone is abusing the Drug. What doesn't the Gov find an antidote for Xarelto so people won't bleed to death. There is something more going on and it's all about MONEY!

Hi I know this is a late post but is this still true of this doctor? My doctor is retiring and I have been taking OxyContin 20mg and oxycodone 10mg fior breakthrough pain I don’t know what to do???? I have had the same doctor for 15 years!!! Real pain with records and history and pharmacy showing no abuse. Just need doctor to continue my plan.

He has been my doctor since 2004 so I never had to look for a doctor before so any help Is appreciated!!!
