I live in Beattyville KY, a little town where doctors won't give you a chance before listening. They treat every patient like a drug addict if they ask for narcotics. I have been prescribed them a couple of times though, but not in last 7-8 yrs. Since then I've lost my mom and dad to cancer. Mom died 2 yrs ago, dad in 98. My siblings aren't in good health either at this point. I've been listed for having ocd, major depression, anxiety, and full blown panic attacks. I'm very lost and depressed. Are there any Doctors that could help me please? I'm 36 yrs old I have Medicare part a, b, and d. I'd really appreciate the name and phone number for doctors that are close to where I live now. I began taking Xanax in 1982. I have been abusing it more and more over the years. I can now take 14 mg and not even tell it. I can stop taking it with no withdrawals. It's like I am immune to it. For the past two years I have been experiencing a lack of cognition, forgetfullness, and general fatigue. It does not matter if I stop the Xanax for a couple of months, I feel like the deficit is permanent. Can Xanax lead to permanent brain damage? ## ever have your liver enzymes looked at? Hello there. I am showing up positive for oxazepam and I had never heard of it before now. I take Lamictal, Lyrica, Neurontin, Clonidine, Potassium, loratadine, 800 mg ibuprofen, Magnesium, Vitamin D, and a multivitamin. Anybody know why? I'm thankful for any help :) ## Hi Tammy, Many of the drugs you mentioned are known to cause a number of different false-positives for various medications; however I cannot locate any definitive statements on whether or not they may show up as Oxazepam. Although, on the cheaper, less reliable tests, it seems anything is possible. False positives are known to occur on them anywhere from 4 to 50% of the time. I took a urine test 18 days after i took 150 mg of valium over a 5 day period. My urine was very clear due to all the water i drank. Will someone tell me wether u think i passed or failed? ## You took it 18 days later? Then yes, there are very few drugs that would linger for such a long period of time in your urine. My concern here is that Valium, which contains the active ingredient Diazepam is a very potent Benzodiazepine and that was a very dangerous amount to take in such a short period of time. You are running the risk of overdose, which could result in organ damage or possibly even be fatal. I am 80 years old and use oxycodone very sparingly for neuropathy. To help prevent possible dependency I usually take one 5mg oxycodone about four hours apart. I weigh 210 pounds and my prescription allows two 5mg pills every six hours, but that dose clouds my thinking even though it does manage pain better. I usually get by with taking one 5mg oxycodone pill no more than three times each day beginning from about 10am. Getting up each morning is the most difficult; If I take two 325mg Butalbital tablets upon arising I seem to get a little boost, so that I can function enough to get going without too much discomfort. do the two drugs show up the same in a hair test? ## It depends on the type of test, there are some that are used only to detect the presence of a certain drug class, such as the Benzodiazepines and if that's the type used, they would both show up as just that. However, there are more specific tests that can be done, which determine the specific ones that are used and if that's the type being used, then they will both show up as their own specific drug. i have my normal 3 month urine screen test at my pain management doc tomorrow and i ran out of the perscibed Valium and started taking my mothers Xanax to prevent panic attacks. I have chronic anxiety and panic attacks. I had a Dr. that quit prescribing me klonopin. ## I have bad panic attacks and suffer from really bad restless leg syndrome at night! I also have ADD and have been on Adderall but just recently moved to Minnesota and need to find someone who can get me back on my meds (Xanax or Klonopin). I also take Lexapro.

I have a pill with the imprint G 372 2 on one side, and this side is also tri-scored. However, the back of it is not scored and is completely blank. The pills are thinner than normal and the font looks different and more rounded than pictures I have looked at. They are also much more chalky and brittle than usual. They are bitter like Xanax, but the effect is nowhere near what it should be. Could these possibly be pressed? Or contain maybe .5mg of Alprazolam (because that's what taking a full one feels like...) and the rest is filler stuff that I'll never know what it is I just ingested? How many milligrams of Xanax is safe for a hundred pound dog to take to make it comfortable to give an enema? ## How many milligrams is SAFE? Well considering that xanax alone is nearly impossible to overdose on; a 100lb dog could "safely" take upwards of 500mg of xanax and not be harmed. That would be a good nap for sure! However that would be way too much. You did ask what was "safe" though. lol. In all reality it probably won't actually take any more than 2 mg or less.
