If I take about 30-40mg of Ativan today/tomorrow will I pass a drug screen on next wed. ( about a week) I keep seeing and hearing different things! I haven't taken anything like this in years, so just wondering how long it takes to clear!! ## Ativan contains the active ingredient Lorazepam, this is a Benzodiazepine, used to treat anxiety and nervous disorders. Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, irritability and headache. That said, 30 to 40mgs is a VERY high dosage and it is not safe to take that much at once. This is a very potent medication, what are you taking that much? I am assuming that since you are concerned about the drug screen, you do not have a prescription for this. Ok, I'll try to make this long story as short at possible. Really short version: My primary has been giving me 1mg of Xanax 3x a day for nearly two years and won't fill it any longer because of the DEA. I'm prescribed 2mg of Subutex a day from my psychiatrist. When I take my Subutex, I break it into quarter doses, so I take 1/4 of a Subutex tablet 4 x a day, sometimes less. Originally, I rarely took the full 2.5mg. My psychiatrist or "p-doc" as I'll call him from this point, won't prescribe me Xanax because it's a CNS depressant (and it is). I'm OK getting the Subutex, but my p-doc won't prescribe both. I have been diagnosed with Bipolar II for about 18 years, but had it at least since 1994. I take 1mg Clonazepam. 50mg trazodone for insomnia around 11pm.....10 mg singulair and 60 units Lantus at 9pm. This is pretty much my usual schedule. I've had around 5 or hrs of sleep this week. You may have developed tolerance to them, if you've been on them for awhile. Alternatively, you may be more stressed than usual, or you may have changed something in your diet that is causing it. I have really bad insomnia, anxiety & depression. :/ I find that xanax works the best for me.. but the problem is I have to take like 5-6 bars just to get a lil Sleep .. It is also used to treat itching due to certain allergic conditions, including hives and contact dermatitis (eg, poison ivy). ## Teva Pharmaceuticals list this tablet as containing 50mgs of Hydroxyzine, which is used to treat allergic reactions, anxiety, and for its sedative like effects. I got my alprazolam refill but they're light green and have little specks on them but they look just like they're supposed to. S 90 3 with 2 slits. I have never seen light green with specks. I've always seen the regular green colored ones so I'm just trying to find out if they're legitimate. ## The green tablet with marking S 90 3 is manufactured by Dava Pharmaceuticals, and they list them as containing 2mgs of Alprazolam, which is a generic for Xanax. I took one ativan pill at least i think it was on 3/18/07. Thought it was an over the counter pain pill. It's not prescribed to me and I have a job enterview on 3/22/07 where they do a drug screen. Can someone tell me if it will still be in my system by then? I've been dealing with severe anxiety and can't function on my daily activities. Feeling really nervous and scared for no reason and sometimes I feel shortness of breath. What's really bad is I can't sleep well at night, so I'm looking for a doctor to prescribe something to treat my anxiety and help me relax. My local pharmacy recently changed from Qualitest lorazepam to Actavis (Watson). So I have to transfer. Most pharmacies here sell Leading Pharma or Actavis. I have an adverse reaction from Watson lorazepam (serious side effects with no calming effect). I used to take Ativan but it is too expensive to continue (I took it when I was abroad and from Kaiser in the U.S. but Kaiser changed it to generic Qualitest lorazepam). I do not use Kaiser insurance anymore. Qualitest is milder than Ativan in terms of effect, like 50%-60% of Ativan, but less dehydrated and OK considering it is generic. Ativan is $2600 for 1mg 30ea in cash. Besides, most insurance does not cover it or do not want to pay for it by forcing doctors to prescribe generic lorazepam instead. If you fail a disa drug test and are listed inactive in their system, how do you fix the problem or become active again? ## I took a drug test through disa on 6/13/13 and failed.
