I am new to Tulsa and my PCP will not prescribe Xanax (but is not against me being on it). The psychiatrists with whom I have spoken with so far seem to not want to prescribe it at all two therapists with whom I have spoken confirmed that doctors in Tulsa are reluctant to prescribe. Does anyone know of a psychiatrist who will prescribe Xanax? I take it for anxiety and it helps me get through the day. I am on a relatively low dose of only 2mg per day and do not wish to raise that, only maintain my current level. Any help is appreciated. I have insurance. ## As you know 2 mg is certainly not a low dose. Have PTSD which is under control until the Clonazapam wears off. Then I become nearly a vegetable ## How do I go about finding a Dr that actually listens to me?!? I am afraid to just stop taking Xanax I have been taking a bar a day for 3 weeks n now I want to stop what do I do? I am afraid of having seizures!!! ## Well, to be safe these types of medications are usually tapered slowly to prevent the withdrawal effects and lower the risk of seizures. I took a .25 orange zanax. The next day about 15 hours after taking the xanax I had a urine drug test. This was the first time I took a xanax. If you did mean "R 3 0 9", then unfortunately it would most likely be a counterfeit pill... and I don't think it'd be worth the risk of taking. From what I've been researching online, the real yellow xanax bars are marked with R|0|3|9 . For verification, you can also look up the pill's National Drug Code of 00228-2039. Took 0.5 mg on Friday at 9am. On Monday I have a urine test. Will it show up on the test?
