Now, I’ve been prescribed Xanax since I was a kid, but just recently have I heard of this “Alprazolam Intensol”, which I actually was pleasantly surprised was manufactured by one of the pharmaceutical manufacturers I actually trust, but my question is, what is the purpose of this new type of administration, and why might a doctor prescribe this to a patient over regular bars? Like if I’m prescribed 3 2mg tablets a day, I don’t know even know what that’d equate to in the “Intensol” administration. ## It's probably for those who can't swallow pills, Oral Xanax. scored on one side and has wyeth on the other about the size of a reg 2mg ativan but has no other numbers or imprints ,what could it be , thanks ## I have small orange round pills with "wyeth" across one side and a single score line across the other. They are 2mg Ativan ## A round, white tablet with just the imprint WYETH is listed as being a 1mg Mazanor tablet, which is used as a stimulant, and to aid in weight loss. NDC: 00008-0071 Its typical side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, nervousness, anxiety, anorexia, and insomnia. I have a long and extensive background in taking most members of the benzodiazepam family as listed above. This stems back around 10 years ago when i first took both xanax and diazepam alongside methadone as part of my first H detox and rehab program. Do the shapes / colors or numbers on a pill or manufacturer have anything to do with which pill is stronger if the are the same mg? ## That can be an indicator of strength, however not always? Pills range from .25 mg to 2 mg with a 3 mg extended release version. Size is a factor as well, a 2 mg "School Bus" or "Pie" & the 3 mg ER are larger than your 1 mg dose. There are also illegal Xanax that claim to be up to 5 mg or more. i take xanax daily and have been for years . I have taken as few as 2 and as much as 4 rarely 5. . They only make me sleepy if i take more than 3 a day . i took one that looked diff than the ones I normally take. It was still blue and round but larger and scored so much so it looked like it would be easier to break in 1/2.. some of them are scored but they crumble if you try yo break them in 1/2. Theyhad markings on both sides but don't remember & I have been sleeping on and off for 24 hours. I may sleep 5-6 hours a night but VERY RARELY ANY MORE . I have a round beige pill with Watson 364 on it. I found it in a house. What is it? ## A beige round pill with Watson 364 on one side and 7.5 over a score line on the other was Clorazepate 7.5 mg (now discontinued) [1]. Clorazepate is used in the treatment of anxiety disorders and insomnia. It may also be prescribed as an anticonvulsant or muscle relaxant. Hope this helps!

I've been on xanax for 3 years & my doctor left his practice. I need a new doctor just to keep me on my medication. I have all of my Doctor's medical records. Thanks ## Personally, I think if you suffer from anxiety/depression and need a Benzodiazepine class medication (like Xanax), usually your best bet is to see a psychiatrist, rather than a regular medical doctor. Reason being, is that they are better trained in the types of medications that handle these problems and can also help you treat the underlying cause of your anxiety or depression, as opposed to covering up the feelings and emotions with medication; unless you decide that you're ok with only treating the symptoms for as long as they persist... I have been suffering from PTSD since my military years. The VA hospital used to prescribe them to me but then somehow they decided to prescribe Neurontin instead. Which btw completely mess with my vision! I have to squint and wink or close one eye to focus!! Anyway I would prefer a doctor who will get me back on the Clonazepam/Klonopin or even Xanax for my own sanity! I got some bars recently and they as though they are the name brand xanax.. flat on one side with xanax and on the other a 2 in the middle they are scored the right way but when I let it disolve under my tounge my mouth gets numb.. concerned never had a xanax make my tounge numb and I have been taking bars for years any ideas??? ## If you are not sure about the Pills you were given I would throw them out? ## @capnstabn, The only way to be sure that you will receive the correct medication is to see a doctor and get a prescription. I have been taking one Clonazepam every day for at least ten years. dosage 0.5mg. will you test dirty for anphitamines if i take klonopin? The pill I take is a lite yellow round pill with the letter E 63 on it. ## Klonopin is a benzodiazepine If you are going for testing, just tell them that you are taking that med. Hopefully under your doctor's RX. That way you can avoid any problems ## Rb is correct, it not a narcotic nor is it an amphetamine, however, many tests do check for Benzodiazepines, since they are commonly abused medications. And as was stated, if you are going in for a test and have a valid prescription for Klonopin, all you have to do is tell them that you are taking it, though they may verify it with your doctor. I have tried every type out there, but the ones that have the ww d10 and are white are the real deal. Even after stopping right away I got the expected withdraw affects. But I also think the strength is stronger and maybe has something else in them so be careful. Same as the yellow ones that just have a score line and a 5 one other side. When I took a drug panel at the docs vallium/diazepaim was in my system. But be careful out there! I have a condition to where I have to crush my xanax, my docs knows about it and for some reason this batch g3722 2mg are extremely hard to crush, is there a problem with it? ## Why do you need to crush your Xanax? Alprazolam oral solutions are available as 0.5mg/5 mL and as 1mg/1 mL oral solutions. ## Can't swallow them so I crush them but these were extremely hard to do so, just wanted to know what the deal with them are. I am trying to find out if what i have, is what i think it is, but i am not sure what color liquid lorazepam comes in. I’ve been on 1-1 1/2 mg of Lorazepam for about a year and a half. I'm tying to taper off and looking for a safe reduction process. A couple of weeks ago I had tapered down to 1/2 -3/4 mg and ran out. I couldn’t even get out of bed. Heart racing, stomach knotted a total mess. My Dr office told me it was withdrawal and just wanted me to ride it out but eventually gave me a 2 week refill. My neighbor had to pick it up for me as I was basically incapable. This didn’t feel safe for me so I called a couple of RN friends with experience in the field and a friend who is a retired addiction counselor of 30 years. This can be attributed to a 10 hour half life as compared to 4 for a xanax. DO NOT take it at work if its the first or second time you've taken it. I was on wall street for 15 years and 3 or 4 of the .5 milligrams kept me smiling and in check. I've also noticed however if you find yourself tired, skip it, at least until bed.
