Klonopin is likely the safest of the anxiety medications available. This can be attributed to a 10 hour half life as compared to 4 for a xanax. DO NOT take it at work if its the first or second time you've taken it. I was on wall street for 15 years and 3 or 4 of the .5 milligrams kept me smiling and in check.
I've also noticed however if you find yourself tired, skip it, at least until bed. You'll fall asleep at your desk

I apologize....it most certainly is a controlled substance. Yet it is the mildest of the group. You'll be fine. You can't be dismissed from work but given this world we live in, I would tell NOBODY you're taking them

Yes, Klonopin contains the active ingredient Clonazepam, it is a Benzodiazepine and as such, it is a controlled substance.

If you have a valid prescription, though, your employer cannot stop you from using. You simply have to inform then of this, though they may want to confirm this with your doctor.

Working with dangerous and/or heavy machinery may be restricted during its use.

klonopin is a controlled substance and has a half life of 30 to 40 hours not 10 hours as stated above and it will show on a drug screen up to 30 days even after you have stopped taking it.
