What medications are the most prescribed anxiolytics? Is there a list I can refer to? I am also interested in the differences in prescribing between countries. All of the relevant lists for 2011 are up by now, it will be a long time before any for 2012 are available, so I'd suggest starting with the 2011 top prescribed drugs lists. My brother is 37 years old. Throughout his childhood, he has experiemented with different types of drugs. A few weeks he had a manic episode threatening to kill the family and himself. He was arresested and he was sent to a hospital that kept for a week. From he says, all he has been taking is his prescribed Xanax 2mg sometimes 3 a day, which was prescribed. He was saying he wasn't addicted, but I know he has been taking them for years. After a week he was sent home. Twenty - two days ago he was arrested not for drugs, but a misdemeanor. Very worried. I have MS so I take several narcotic type meds. Klonopin is one. I take 2mg 3 times a day which is a large dose for good reason. Even with multiple sclerosis & other medical problems, I too get tested in pain management. I have no addiction history but I do feel bad for those who do & wish them well. I take my med as told to but took urine test today that said there was no klonopin in my system. They are now sending it out to one more lab but how can that not show up? If it comes back not showing, I am in big trouble but I took the med right & did nothing wrong. What can I do? ordered 1 mg brand xanax online and it was shipped within US. It does not say xanax on it......normal? Its just purple with a line on one side to split. ## If there are no markings on it, then it is not the brand name Xanax that is approved for use in the U.S. They are all required to have markings to enable their identification and both the regular and the time released have imprints on the tablets. The 1mg regular tablet is oval, blue and has XANAX 1.0 written on one side. The extended release is 4-sided, yellow and has an X on one side and a 1 on the other. With no markings, it is going to be difficult to determine exactly what you received. Just refilled my script of 1 mg Alprazolam. Changed pharmacies so I got a different generic. This is manufactured by Purepac & clearly they are not working for me. I have been trying to figure this out, and would like to see if it has happened to anyone else. I am prescribed 2mg xanax, and I take them as prescribed. I had to take a drug test, and no benzo showed up at all! My doctor said that soma, or the generic form showed up, and I am now not in good standings with him. I have never took a soma in my life. The xanax is green, I didn't get the letters from that script. My question is has this happened to anyone else? ## Soma can show up in the liver as a Benzo. So much for all the misguided comments that Soma is never tested for?

I hope this info helps someone cause I looked everywhere online and never found an actual person who had taken a 10 panel drug test that knew anything about or has took klonopin. Well 10 days ago I decided to be stupid and took 12mg of it that day and 4mg the next. Didn't have no idea it would stay in your system longer than xanax would. It does stay in your system longer. 6 weeks for some people Well yesterday was 24hrs before my drug test. I drank all kinds of water, at least 10 bottles. Today I go into take my drug test and the doc says your all clean. 9 days after taking klonopin and my urine was clean. I do want to add I'm 5ft 4 and only weigh 110 pounds. That might have helped. I've been on 4mg of xanax twice a day and am down to 3 mg. My ob knows I'm wanting to get off this drug for my baby. I'm 6months pregnant. There are some available, such as Ashwagandha, but since they are only classified by the FDA as supplements, there is no proof that they actually work, though some people swear by them. They are also not known to be habit forming, like the benzodiazepines and they seem to cause far less side effects. You can certainly try something, if your doctor approves.
