She has been on tablets for her mental health before but as these have no name to show what they are I was a little concerned to have think these tablets are not her usual prescribed medication and wondered if anyone can give me an insight as to what these tablets are. She does suffer with Anxiety, panic attacks and mental health issues on top of her depression, so could these tablets be some sort of a stabaliser for her health conditions? They are yellow in colour, round, about the size of a diazepam and has 48 on one side and c on the other. ## From what I can find, the manufacturer Aurobindo lists them as containing 10mgs of Olanzapine, which is used to treat various types of...
does olanzapine contain opiates ## Nope - no opiates in Zyprexa... however there is a very small benzo component - small enough that a benzo addiction/withdrawal issue would be almost impossible. To my knowledge, this med contains no narcotics or otherwise chemically addictive ingredients. ## That is correct, Olanzapine is the active ingredient, it is used to mental health disorders, such as schizophrenia, and bipolar disorder. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, sedation, somnolence, and weight gain. Has this been prescribed for you? ## If I put raw opium up my rectum will it work better than smoking it? ## What would make you even think of that ? I think you need to stop smoking it ! You might be alittle burned out.
I have recently been prescribed quetapine for sleeplessness-- 50 mg per night. It is functioning perfectly. I get 8 hours of sleep and don't wake up feeling drugged. My wife has approximately 100 pills (200mg) which are from an outdated prescription ("discard after 5/11"). What is the shelf life of quetiapine? Besides the possible diminished potency of 1/4 of 200mg per night, are there any other issues with my usage? I have used that dosage (1/4 of her old 200mg pills) a couple of times and experience no difference in effect. Anything wrong with continuing? ## Hello, Barry! How are you? From what I've been able to find via the FDA, this isn't one that gets dangerous once it's expired, but it does start to lose potency. Thus, it would really be best to just dispos...
Before I started taking saphris I was around 125 lbs. when I was taking it I was over 200lbs and it piled on quick. Saphris gave me a side effect that I was rushed to the hospital in ambulance on multiple occasions. The side effects weren't there at the beginning of taking it, but I started getting these side effects probably 3-4 months after and they would occur at least once a week. These terrifying side effects were: My jaw would lock open, I was unable to shut it or breath correctly. I could not swallow or talk and it felt like I couldn't breath. If you can imagine the way darth vador breaths except the sound was anything but even and I felt I had to force every darth vador sounding breath. Not even trying to be funny because this was the absolute scariest pain I've ever...

I take 300 mg a day and it takes 4-5 weeks to clear out of your system. ## The half-life of Seroquel, which contains the active ingredient Quetiapine is roughly 6 hours and, in general, it takes 5 to 6 half-lives to clear out of your body, so the actual clearance time would be only 30 to 36 hours. It can take 4 weeks, or so, for your body to adjust to not having it and return to normal, but it doesn't take that long to actually clear the drug from your body. Are there any other questions or comments? ## Quitiapine Fumarate 50 mg, how long does it take to clear for a drug test. It's only used to get a deep sleep and my husband has a rx, I plan to ask my doctor for it next time I see her But in case I go to test for this new job I'd like to know. And do they even look for this...

I have had issues with Lupin's bupropion XL, and now it seems I am having issues with Lupin's quetiapine. It seems like everything they make is full of side effects. After starting quetiapine 100 mg instant release (sorry I don't know the manufacturer), I noticed I would fall instantly to sleep. Now that I am taking Lupin's quetiapine 300 mg, I have insomnia. That really doesn't make sense, because quetiapine is such a strong sedative, especially 300 mg instant release. I have even taken 100 mg of trazodone on top of 300 mg of quetiapine, and I am still not sleepy. I sleep until 11 am, I don't feel rested at all, and can't wake up in the morning without 5-6 alarms. I've also had issues with weight gain (normal), binge eating and eating cravings (normal), ...
I have been on the Invega injection 234mg for over 5 years with one period of time going off it for 7 weeks. During this 7 week time my anxiety increased and i had some set backs while at the supermarket, mainly paranioa. I have never heard voices or had halucinations before. When i was first diagnosed with schizophrenia they said it was a mild case of if. The mental Heath Center i go to have my summary listed as Paranoid Schizophrenia type. The last time i told my told i thought my medication was making me feel worse she said it may require hospitalization. In the past I've been hospitalized because i thought something was wrong with me and went on my on will, not forced or committed. I'm thinking about seeing another doctor to get a 2nd opinion about my medication and diagnosi...
Hi. I’m on seroquel, gabapentin, methylphenidate, klonopin, and lithium. I had surgery. Had filled out all the meds I take. After surgery I was on norco for 4 or 5 days. Still hurting and severely inflamed. I called the surgeons office. He gave me Tramadol 50 mg every 4 hours and ibuprofen. After about 4 days I started having tremors. Face and neck twisting stretching kind of thing. My left thigh is still numb and leg was very heavy. Also constant clearing my throat and non stop humming or singing or just making grunting noises. I called the pharmacy the next day as I was so wired and shaking I could barely stand up. Obviously they said stop immediately. I also quit the lithium. Now the shaking has gone away some But still clearing throat constantly and humming. It’s driving...
My son safely tapered off Abilify. His last dose was Saturday July 4th. Curious how long the drug remains in his system. And, once it's completely gone from his blood stream, will there be any withdrawal symptoms I need to watch for? He is non verbal, profoundly disabled, otherwise I would ask him if he is feeling any withdrawals. Thanks! ## By now the drug is certainly out of his system, as I know this reply is late from when you last posted. But regarding your concerns on withdrawal symptoms I would try to watch specifically for any signs of depression, irritability, and other mood-related changes of that nature. Tapering the dose down as he did, should've lessened the possibility of any severe withdrawal symptoms. However, because everyone responds to these medications differ...
5th day of Rexulti. Abilify caused tics & tremors. Got off latuda..bad side effects. Also on Viibryd....no improvement with it. ## Hello, Lenats! How are you? Have you experienced any side effects? The FDA lists the typical side effects of Rexulti as possibly including nausea, dizziness, drowsiness and weight gain. Has anyone else been on it who can share their experience? ## Mostly dry mouth. Not too bad though. ## I've been on it for 3-4 weeks and I've been having a lot of nausea and bloating. Not sure if it's related or not. I feel almost like I'm pregnant but my husband had a vasectomy a year ago so that seems unlikely. ## I'm on Wellbutrin 150mg. deplin 15 mg and .5mg of Rexulti. I feel so much better and hope it continues. I have been so inactive from depre...
My son has just been put on Abilify for bipolar - He is 5yrs old... Does anyone have any advice or experience with children on this medication? ## Well, I am not sure how crazy I am about a child that young using it, it has not been evaluated for safety and efficacy in children under 18 yet. Here's the page with the info: Ablify Info Click Here ## My son has been on abilify for a little over a month and has been placed on this med for depression My son has also been diagnosed with add. Thus far its worked great hes no longer withdrawn, he can focus more and attentive and most of all he's happy it seems as though we may not need the add medicine. I feel as though you wont know if a med works until you try it and if we do start seeing side effects then he will have to stop taking ...
many patients are voluntarily requesting zyprexa. now i want to know if patients are mixing or using this drug in an illegal manner? ## Most definitely! My boyfriend is a drug addict and will abuse Zyprexa by taking high doses, 40-60 mg, at a time. He walks around like a Zombie, slurs his speech, has memory loss, trips over his own feet, talks like he has a mouth full of cotton and eats everything in sight. I have told his psychiatrist about his symptoms and his abuse of Zyprexa, and he walks out of her office with a bag FULL of this Crap!!!! I'm at my wits end!!!! ## The only thing I can suggest is speaking to a different doctor. It is definitely not safe for him to be abusing this and obviously his current doctor is not taking your concerns seriously. ## i recently started on 10mg...

I was taking 100 MG of Prestiq, 300 MG of Seroquel, and 150 MG of Wellbutrin. I slowly whinned myself off of everything, but the Prestiq. I lowered my dose from 100 to 50 mg's, and stayed on that for 2 weeks. I quit taking the 50 mg's of Prestiq on Sunday. I am having withdrawl side effects. The side effects include extreme nausea, headache, throbbing in my head and ears, dizziness, vomiting, irratability, and I snap at the least littlest thing. I feel like I have no control over my emotions. Has anyone went through this before? How long will the side effects last? ## I didn't do it with Pristiq, but yes, I did stop taking 100mgs of Zoloft, cold turkey. Pristiq is an SSNRI antidepressant, since this affects the chemical balance in your brain, it can be as hard to get off of ...
My brother has been put on this and started having seizures. Want to know more about it, whether these are possible side effects? ## That can be a possible side effect of this medication, according to the FDA reports, although it isn't a common one. Other side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, weight changes, and pancreatitis. It could be that this is not the right medication for him to take, and he may need to try something else. Has he discussed the situation with his medical provider?
I gradually reduced and totally stopped Clozapine about 6 weeks ago and since that time I have had bad physical side effects: pain above right ear and in jaw with lots of grating sounds when I chew, sweating like you would not believe when hungry and of course the insomnia. I ws on Clozapine for roughly 17 years but it turns out that I was misdiagnosed and do not and never did have schizophrenia although did have psychosis caused by something else. I was wondering if anyone here has any thoughts ## Hello, Dragon! How are you? I'm sorry that you've been so miserable. Those are typical withdrawal effects for suddenly stopping such a medication. You may also experience rebound depression and anxiety, as listed by the FDA. It is really a matter of time, after being on it for so many...
I take the following meds. Can any of these cause me to have a false positive result for methamphetamine? Geodon 80 mg 2 x daily, sertaline 200 mgs, prazosin 1 mg 1x daily, xanex 1 mg 4x daily, ampheta/dextro 20 mg tab 3 x daily, OTC zantac 150 mg 2 x daily, and naproxen 220 mg 1x 3 daily. ## I go to the methadone clinic, I been clean for 10 years. I took a urine screen and came up positive I've for amphetamines and opiates. I lost my take homes. Only medicine I took is zantac, prozac, avail, bactrim... What could do this? I'm so sad and angry. They want to me to pay 50$ so the company can check it again. ## Unfortunately, I was at one time a heavy methamphetamine addict and a junkie. There are many medications and foods that will cause a positive read for methamphetamine. Some ...
I found this in with my step daughter's stuff. Any ideas on what this is? It's a white round pill. 50 on one side, and some design on the back.... but I only have half a pill. Thanks in advance! I JUST TRIED TO ATTACH A PICTURE, BUT DONT SEE ANY AREA WHERE I CAN ATTACH A PICTURE!? ## This pill may be a Seroquel (Quitiapine) 50 mg dose, as it has many variations that being one. However remembet frequently other parts of the pill that make ID easier are erased to make people purchase fake or fraudulent medications IF that is the case. This is a mystery one, but Quitiapine is an A-typical Antipsychotic, with significant sedative effects, used to treat many psychiatric disorders and can be abused and sold as other medications. Sorry it’s a mystery pill it seems, I’m gues...
