That abilify T.v commercial is rather misleading, why dont they say the word "antipsycotic" anywhere in the T.V ad and the warning information for antipsycotics? Just say it abilify DANGER ANTIPSYCOTIC ! I've been on risperidone for 12 to 13 months since march 2010. I had a stress induced nervous breakdown and went through pyschosis. During that time, I had alot of deep thoughts which I was hiding inside not telling anyone. I was afraid of the feeling of no one truly understanding what I was going through at the time. Also not being able to find the right answer to help with desperate feelings. After going through pyschosis, I was taken to the ER anf they found it wasn't due to mishaps of the chemicals in my brain, just due to stress. I was hallucinating and in a state of unreality. I felt that I was in this unkown place and time. I am trying to wean myself off of Seroquel. I started at 100mg and weaned myself down to 25. It was fine for a while until anxiety symptoms reoccurred. I am now taking about 3/4 of a 25 mg tablet by shaving it down with a file. I also take .5mg clonopin at night to curb anxiety. The problem is that I am waking up groggy and tired, which is weird because that never happened on the higher dose. But If I try to shave it back to half a pill, I can't sleep and experience bad anxiety. How can I get myself off of this stuff so that I don't get anxious and avoid the tiredness, that sometimes lasts all day? ## I made a mistake. In the past three days my 70 year old mother has showed mildly increasing signs of paranoia. This was only after having her Risperdal medication reduced three weeks ago per FDA law for nursing home patients. How is this FDA law in her best interest? ## I've never heard of such a law, normally the FDA does not mess with what the doctor's decide is the best dosing and treatment. I find myself having to ask, have they shown you proof of this being a law? I can't see as how this would be in any patients best interest, whatsoever, especially not at her age. ## my son was given 1125mg of diwa every day and he developed hissing sounds in is ears the doctor reduced the dose 750mg a day and soltus 200mg a day will this again triger ocm and panic attacks

I found two capsule shaped solid white pills marked with S, then a vertical scoring line, then ET on the one side and on the reverse - marked 100. Please can someone identify. The medication belongs to a schizophrenic. Many thanks. ## I'm not finding a listing for these in any of our U.S. prescription drug resources. Where they found in the U.S. or elsewhere? Does anyone else recognize these tablets? ## Invega (palperidone) sounds similar to what your talking about. I get it for schizophrenia. I'm not sure what they say or if it has a score.

My friends husband has been given this drug and he is in much worse condition then he was before he took it, ## Risperdal contains the active ingredient Risperidone and unfortunately, like any medication, it doesn't work for everyone that tries it and can cause some people to experience the opposite of the desired effect. Some of the side effects it causes includes: nausea, drowsiness, weight gain and severe sedation. I would think that due to the sedation, drowsiness and the possibility of dizziness, some kids may like to abuse it, because these are similar to the effects of a narcotic. CAN I USE THIS PILL INSTEAD OR AS RISPERIDONE? ## This tablet contains 500mgs of Divalproex Sodium, also known by the name Valproate Semisodium, it is an anticonvulsant that also works as a mood stabilizer. But no, it is not comparable to or interchangeable with Risperidone, which is an antipsychotic that is used to treat various mental health disorders. Have you consulted your doctor? Have they advised you to make the switch?

83 year age male good general health .recently experanceing shaking in the hands will stemzine assist ## Most drugs in this category with Stemzine are used as anti-psychotics (neuroleptics). Neuroleptic means "nerve seizing," and describes the semi-paralyzing effect these drugs have on the brain and nervous system. That said, it should be effective in assisting this specific condition; however I cannot say whether or not it will certainly do so, as I am not a doctor and don't know anything about your medical history or how this drug affects you, as well as the benefits or disadvantages that it provides you. In all respect I would recommend consulting your doctor about this if you have any other questions or concerns.

I need to know if seroquel will show up on a 6 panel instant urine test as anything..I ve heard benzo...and how long do benzos stay in the system? ## Seroquel contains the active ingredient Qeutiapine and no, it has not been known to cause false positives for anything else on urine tests. An actual Benzodiazepine, such as Alprazolam or Diazepam, can be detectable for up to 6 weeks, after use. Though this can vary, from person to person, depending on your metabolism, activity levels, overall health and other factors. Are there any other questions?

I am taking sizodon 4 mg for past 1 year. Earlier i have taken around 15 tablets(not sizodon) per day.Because of that, my weight has dramatically increased and feel always tired and sleepy.After taking sizodon, my weight reduced to normal and also active.I felt that i am completely cured,so is it necessary to continue taking tablet.your reply is most welcom ## Have you consulted your doctor? Sizodon contains the active ingredient Risperidone, which is an antipsychotic that is used to treat various mental health issues. And, while you may feel better, it could be because you are taking the medication, in addition, if you suddenly stop taking it, it may cause rebound effects, that can be worse than the problem you started taking it to treat. This means that it should be slowly tapered.

I was taken seoquel 100mg 3 times a day but got me sick an put me to abilify 30mg than my doctor took me off an put me on risperidone 1mg. but seem most likely med's really not working better an I just got these "risperidone 1mg. but i also take Lexapro an Zyprexa5 mg as in today but also need to know is it better of which of all I be taken to help me. Has fluphenazine decanoate been known to cause severe depression or depressive psychosis as to make one take an accidental overdose? ## Fluphenazine is an antipsychotic and the intention of it is to help treat and prevent such things. That said, some medications do have the opposite effect on some people, however, this site is not medical professionals and cannot say with any certainty. An additional factor that has to be taken under consideration is that the person being treated with obviously already has a mental health condition, so that could very well be the cause of such problems and not the medication at all. My doctor prescribed me 15mg of Abilify after telling me I had the symptoms of classic Bi-Polar. I took it, and that day I felt horrible.
