My friend was prescribed Haldol for depression. My friend suffers from being addicted to Perocets, and because he was going through withdraw stated that he wanted to kill himself. I know that he did not mean it, I believe it was the withdrawal. Could you help me. Is this drug the answer. ## The best thing your friend could do would be to inform his doctor of everything you've just said, that way a proper treatment plan can be undertaken. Haldol is most commonly used to treat psychotic episodes, and the FDA warns that it is very potent, and may cause side effects, such as sedation, nausea, headache, blurred vision, and mood changes. Ref: Haldol Information Are these the only medications he is currently taking?

I've been taking the Xeplion (Paliperidone) injection for about a year now. This drug blocks the serotonin and dopamine receptors in the brain. I read that this drug stays in the body for 126 days. If I stop taking this drug, will the serotonin and dopamine receptors be unblocked after 126 days?

The pill is round, larger than an asprin, red with Z imprint. What is it? ## May be for schizophrenia. Im trying to find out for sure myself, but have reason to believe thats what its for. ## It actually sounds like you might have found an Acetaminophen tablet, which is a generic for Tylenol, it is used to treat headaches, fever, and body aches. The one that is red with the Z marking is manufactured by Leiner Health Products and they list it as containing 500mgs of Acetaminophen. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Says could be a generic Tylenol. Is there a way to send a pic

Im from canada and was given this pale yellow pill imprinted with a N and 100. was told it was a kind of narcotic. ## Hello, Tstouty! How are you? Are the N and 100 on the same side or opposite sides? Are there any score lines on the tablet? ## So, I just found the same mystery pill not too long ago. The N and the 100 are on opposite sides of the flat, light yellow, circular, coated pressed pill. The edges are ever so slightly beveled on both sides- barely even so. There are no other imprints on the pill. ## I have this pill too is it seroquel? N or z on one side, 100 on the other, round peachy colored. Thanks all! ## Round light yellow pill with U on one side and 100 on other can also be used for pain

On and off antidepressants for 20 some odd years. Some work better than others. The last one I was prescribed was Cymbalta a new one for depression and it just didn't seem show any improvement on my fatigue or my get up. Today I started on Oxazepam, does anyone know anything about that? New and needing help ## Oxazepam is a benzodiazepine that is most commonly used to treat anxiety, and for its sedative like effects. The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, irritability, mood changes, and drowsiness. Ref: Oxazepam Information Some new studies have been showing new information on depression, such as it not actually being caused by low serotonin as has been commonly believed, so this information may help impr...

I Was put on Geodon last month. I am Schizophenic and I have panic attacks as well. I really don't want to feel all this I am going through. I am already taking Xanax, but Geodon makes my heart beat even faster. Has anyone else had the same effects? ## have you had any side affects from the geodon and xanax combo ## Geodon has been known to cause Tachycardia as a side effect, according to FDA reports. Other side effects are listed as possibly including palpitations, nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, headache, rash, insomnia, and agitation. Kathy, have you informed your doctor of what you're experiencing? Ref: Geodon Information Hector, taking it along with Xanax may increase the risk of experiencing some side effects. severe bipolar disorder 11 yrs. diagnosed, one of many meds. at 80mg. hard to adjust with symptoms like a bad hangover. not that i drink anymore but dont have high hopes for this drug at 20 60 or 80mg because of reactions ## Being removed from risperdal and put on geodan. For first few days mild headaches. Tolerating stress better. Bipolar ## Typically, side effects tend to reach their peak around 4 to 5 weeks of taking a medication at one steady dosage, then they taper off in severity, until they disappear entirely, so if you just started it, then it is far too soon to judge how well it is, or isn't going to work for you. My boyfriend was just recently put on risperdal about 4 days ago.. they said it would help him with his anger problems..will this medication help him or does he need to quit using it and be switched to another one.?? ## Risperdal is an excellent drug for anger management, however, the benefits will not become apparent for several weeks. Psychotherapy always helps. ## Risperdal contains the active ingredient Risperidone, it is used to treat various mental health issues, and for its sedative like properties, so yes, it may help him a lot, with his anger issues. Ref: Risperdal Information The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, drowsiness, somnolence, and weight changes. Is he on any other medications? What dosage did they put him on?

I was given two shots of invega sustenna, the 234mg loading dose and then the 154mg starting does and it as been the most horrible experience of my life. I curse the doctors who prescribed me this horrible drug. I wake up at least three times per night, I can't focus on anything. I also suffer from severe anedonia and restlessness and have trouble verbalizing my speech when I try and talk, that is the most frustrating thing that I have experienced. I have done some research and many of the people's comments I read said it would take anywhere from 6 months to a year to get the drug out of your system. I pray it is not that long. If anyone has successfully gotten off this drug sooner please email me {edited for privacy} I really need to hear a successful story of someone coming of...

In April 2020 I was put on a community treatment order depot shot of Invega every 4 weeks for roughly 6 months after a month long episode/hospitalisation of drug induced psychosis. I suffered from EXTREME depression, anhedonia, suicidal thoughts, anxiety, inability to function or stand up for long periods of time. After roughly 6/7 months of being OFF the medication I am starting to return to my old self, feeling much more optimistic about life and find myself laughing again (still have the inability to fully cry) but it’s no where near as bad as it once was. This medication is toxic and I wouldn’t wish it upon anyone, but if you are someone who has been experiencing ill effects, just know that it IS possible to get better. I promised myself if I ever got out of the hell I w...

I was wanting to know if latuda would show up on a drug test and if so what it would show up for? ## I was wondering if I take a Latuda pill tonight what it show up in a urine drug test tomorrow or the following day ## I believe so. I failed a drug test for the courts and there's no way it wasn't latuda, which I just started taking when my urine went either diluted, or testing for amphetamines and methamphetamines; though I'm also taking venlafaxine and a handful of others. Read the side effects. ## FACT: Yes LATUTA can show a false positive. There are MANY dozens of causes for a false positive. It would be hard- if not impossible in some cases to pinpoint the exact cause. Which is why it is important to either demand a more precise test, and or retest. Be aware, if you rete...

I just want to know what are the side effects of Thorazine and if there is any long term affects? ## Chlorpromazine (CPZ), marketed under the brand names Thorazine and Largactil among others, is an antipsychotic medication. Common side effects include movement problems, sleepiness, dry mouth, low blood pressure upon standing, and increased weight. Serious side effects may include the potentially permanent movement disorder tardive dyskinesia, neuroleptic malignant syndrome, severe lowering of the seizure threshold, and low white blood cell levels. In older people with psychosis as a result of dementia it may increase the risk of death. It is unclear if it is safe for use in pregnancy. Ref: Medline Plus

I was wondering what kind of pill I found. It is a bright yellow, round pill, about the size of a dime, with a coating on it and an imprint of 903. ## I located a small round yellow pill with 904 on one side and blank on the back. Judging from the image I see, there appears to be a coating on it. I don't know if there's any chance you may have misread the imprint, but hopefully this helps narrow down the possibilities... At any rate, it's reportedly identified as a 100mg Quetiapine fumarate tablet, used for anxiety, bipolar disorder and other related conditions. I took abilify after going into the mental hospital for 3 or 4 days. When I got out I took the pills until I noticed shortness of breath, extreme body aches, etc.. but I soon heard voices and depression again. I went back in to the hospital and came out with the shot. Just mindless. I tripped going up and down steps. I was out of breath and worn out VERY EASILY! I EVEN THOUGHT I WAS HAVING A STROKE several times during the month after injection. I have been taking invega 3mg for about a year, and have started feeling like my heart is fluttering. I also got to the point where I felt like doing absolutely nothing, and gained 16 lbs. So I stopped taking it. I am feeling more like myself, but am having some anxiety. I also take 1mg xanax er twice a day, and that does help. I'm also on wellbutrin and lamictal. I don't know why my pdoc put me on it. I hate that it is going to take so long to get this drug out of my system. But I believe that it will be worth it in the long run. ## Hello, Monica! Can it be dangerous to take Invega Sustenna? Are the risks worth the benefits of this medication? ## as far as I know, 4.5% in comparison to 2.6 % on placebo died, but not sure if those were only elderly patients or not. when I asked about weight gain, lots of medicines said taht weight gain is 10 %, unfortunately I have always been in those 10%. So now the risk is 5%, according to my experience the risk to die would be 50/50 then, that is in fact a high risk and I would prefer 5% 5/100, but I have a hard time believing in the statistics given my experiences. I would in any case check all the safety measures before: take risperdal max. dosage and invega max. dosage (not together, one after the other or just the one that you yet didn't have) and see how you react to this before you t...
