I am trying to identify a round white pill with an underlined 6 on one side and a flower imprinted on the other side ## saw one with a flower on it and 14. do not know what it is yet ## Based on the description provided, I found the pill marked 6 with a flower logo to be a brand of generic iloperidone (6 mg), called Fanapt. NOTE: I cannot post a picture due to copyright reasons, however, if you were to run a search on google images for "Fanapt 6 mg white pill", you will see the pill I'm referring to. You can view a detailed description of the drug by clicking on the link below... I hope this helps! ## The pill is fanapt its a mental health pill
Is there anyone here who uses Zyprexa Relprevv injection in their nursing practice? ## yes, we use all the time for those who did well on the oral form of zyprexa but fail to take pills daily. Our clinic has seen incredible results, even better than expected from the oral form as it states it is exactly the same. I have patients now starting part time jobs where that would never have been a possibility even with the oral olanzapine.
My doctor put me on Invega, along with 3 other anti-depressants, 5 years ago. Invega is classified as an anti-psychotic only it had no side effects--no sedation at all was the most prominent. Now the Invega is responsible for raising my cholesterol to 318 so I have to go off it. I was on 6 mgs. and he lowered it to 3 for one week. I was fine--as if nothing changed. After going off of it, I was a mess. I was sweating, I couldn't sleep, I felt like something was crawling on my skin and I couldn't sit still. Without his knowledge I went back on the full dose because I am in a wedding of a family member in 11 days. Then I was thinking. The symptoms I was having when I went totally off of it were WITHDRAWAL symptoms, not due to the lack of the medication otherwise. The psychiatrist w...
it's supposed to be zyprexa. is it? can't find it on the web. concerned pharmacy gave me wrong pills ## Hello, Daniel! How are you? Sorry for your confusion, I'm happy to clear this up for you. Yes, a tablet matching this description is listed as containing 15mgs of Olanzapine, the active ingredient in Zyprexa. Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, weight changes and somnolence. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Thanks Verwon. I've been meaning to reply to my own question before now. I talked to the pharmacist regarding my concern. She double checked what she had on the shelf to be what I had been given. She also said that it (Zyprexa) had recently gone "multi source generic", which would explain the change. Apparently, when a drug first goes gener...

Updated in ClozarilI was prescribed Seroquel for insomnia after Ambion and other medications did not work for me. He only wrote me 30 of the 50mg coated tablets, stating that I may find what works for me and that typically people need between 200-400mg's/daily. throughout the last week, I have been sleeping every night with only an hour or two of being awake throughout which is leaps and bounds from how I was before the Seroquel. I have been taking 250mg at 8;30pm and all was going well until...oh s***, I only have 250mg's in my bottle and its a Friday night! with a busy schedule, I didn't realize until my GP's office was closed. it is now sunday morning and I have not slept since Saturday morning. My question: can I do anything to get a pharmacist to help me with one nights amount, taking...
Updated in SeroquelLarge tan oblong pill with L on one side and R on the other. Any idea what it is? ## The closest match I'm finding to this description is that of a large white oblong pill, with "R" and "1" spaced apart on the front of the pill. The back side of the pill reads "JANSSEN". This pill is identified as an antipsychotic medication, Risperdal 1 mg. Manufacturer: Janssen Pharmaceuticals National Drug Code (NDC): 50458-0300 I know it doesn't completely match your pill, but it's closest thing on the web that I can find. Has anyone else seen this pill before? ## I found this pill. it is a 7 so they say, and an R. its a Seroquel 400mg.
my son started taking clozapine a month ago. He is supposed to be taking 300mg a day in three segments. I can't even get him awake long enough to take all of it. When i tried to give him the 200 at nite he gets sick and throws up. He won't eat befor he takes it either, very rebellious. He also takes depakote, xanax, propranalol and paxil. He has high anxiety levels and is still delusional. He wants to be delusional when it is fun, but it's not always fun.He is totally secluded except for his family, which is only mom,dad and sister. He has no interest in nothing since he started taking it. ## Have you talked to his doctor about these issues? I'm not a doctor myself, but from what I know about medications, it certainly sounds like he might need some medication adjustments...
i am looking for a medication, sometimes used to treat Aspergers Syndrome that ends in phris.... can you help me with this ## Hello, Lookn! How are you? There are really no medications that treat or correct the core symptoms of Aspergers. They really just help control some of the issues that occur. As to the one you were looking for the name of, was is possibly Saphris? It is an atypical antipsychotic and they are sometimes used to treat symptoms caused by Aspergers.

What are the side effects of taking this medication? ## Hello, Cherie! How are you? From what I can find, it contains the active ingredient Prochlorperazine, which is most commonly used to help prevent or treat nausea and vomiting. But it is an antipsychotic, so it can be used to treat psychosis, as well. Side effects may include drowsiness, dizziness, dry mouth and weight changes. Is there anything else I can help with?

I've been taking seroquel xr 200mg x 2 a day. I've been taking it for a year and a half now and I'm wanting to have a baby but I'm scared to death of the withdrawals. I've read some scary stories as well as dangers of the drug I wasn't aware of. Any advise/suggestions? ## Hello, Niki! How are you? I would suggest consulting your doctor. They will be able to help you with a proper and safe way to taper off of the medication, before you become pregnant. That would be far better than trying to get ideas on internet. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I've tried to taper off with my doctors approval but I was got so sick after changing the dosage one time. I was hoping there may be a vitamin or a supplement to help with the withdrawals.
First, should Seroquel be given to a mentally retarded man, who can not communicate to the Dr(s) if he was having any side effects to this medication? Heard it is a really heavy duty medication and must be prescribed by a physcian, very carefully. Also should it be taken along with other medications that he has been prescribed? ## It is an antipsychotic medication and they can be pretty powerful, but they are commonly prescribed to these types of patients, just as much as they are to someone with a normal mental capacity. He should just be closely monitored by his family and doctors for any side effects, such as: nausea, dizziness, sedation and the development of diabetes. More on it here: As to whether or not it can be taken with other medications, it really depends on the specific med...

Hi evryone, does anyone know how to come off 500mgs quetiapine safely after 2.5 years? Many thanks, ## If you're like me, the drug makes you drowsy, and you need to speak up and discuss this with your doctor and bring the dose down over the years. It's almost certain there is some substantial dose you need, say, to sleep well, but it's quite a powerful drug and the side effects can be debilitating. Every 25 or 50mg is quite a lot, and needs two weeks for you to observe and be comfortable with the changes. It's not like going off completely, and well worth trying to reduce.
I suffer from major depression disorder and cymbalta 60 mg was not enough to take care of it. Then my doctor prescribe me resperidone 2 mg as a Add on treatment. Then she increased the reperidone it to 4 mg then week later took me of the resperidone and switch me to seroquel 200 mg then she switched the dose to 300 mg but when she sent the prescription to the pharmacy she sent the seroquel XR 300 mg. I made a mistake for the first week I was on seroquel I took both seroquel and resperidone together which seem to work but when worked better then when I took together. I suffer from insomnia so I wake up a bunch of times through the night. So when I stop taking resperidone and got up in the middle of the night my balance was extremely bad like if I drunk. So I tried taking resperidone agai...
