Found these in my car...white dime size pill/tablet with a risen rim around the outer edge and a capital L in the center, nothing on the other side? ## This was a difficult pill to identify! But I did find an exact match to your imprint and description. It is Oravig (50 mg); also known by it's generic name "Miconazole". This medication is an azole antifungal indicated for the local treatment of oropharyngeal candidiasis in adults. The link below has detailed information on this pill as well as a photo of it (if you scroll down towards the end of the page): I hope this helps!
Needing the drug classification of Lotrizone cream and Nystatan Powder ## Lotrisone is a cream or lotion consisting of a combination of the drugs clotrimazole and betamethasone. Clotrimazole is an "anti-fungal" drug related to fluconazole (Diflucan), ketoconazole (Nizoral), itraconazole (Sporanox), and miconazole (Micatin, Monistat). It prevents growth of several types of fungi by preventing production of the membranes that surround fungal cells. Betamethasone is a synthetic "corticosteroid" that is used topically on the skin. Corticosteroids suppress inflammation as well as the body's immune response. Nystatin powder is an "antibiotic" which is both fungistatic and fungicidal in vitro against a wide variety of yeasts and yeast-like fungi. I put quotations ar...
Can I drink alcholic beverages on this once I've started application on affected area ## Yes. It's only an anti-fungal and steroid. Alcohol will have no interaction with that cream. ## What has your doctor, or pharmacist advised? I wouldn't agree and say there would be no effect, because your body does absorb some of the medications, it's just that the effects would be very slight, as compared to medications that you take orally and absorb much more of in your body. Another issue may result from the fact that the alcohol can thin your blood and affect your circulation, it may result in your absorbing more of it, than normal.
I have Icaden cream, what is this used for? ## From what I've found, it contains the active ingredient Isoconazole, which is an antifungal medication, so it would most likely be used to treat yeast infections. I really don't have a lot of information on it, since it isn't available in the U.S. Where was this prescribed?

Updated in NystatinI was given this med for thrush. I have been on predisone for emphesema and I developed thrush. I got a headache and dizziness. ## This is more than one medication, are you saying you were given all of these? The Nystatin is an antifungal medication, so it is appropriate for treating Thrush, since it's an oral yeast infection. The Diphenhydramine is sometimes given, if the yeast infection is causing dizziness, since is an antihistamine. However the other 2 are not normal treatments, so you would need to ask your doctor why they prescribed them. The Hydrocodone is a narcotic and that's probably what caused the headache and dizziness. And the Tetracycline is an antibiotic, these are not usually given, because they can cause, or worsen these types of infections.

This medication has caused me sever tounge pain. sore tender and all white. My infection has cleared up but my mouth hurts realy bad feels like a=i have a large amount of acidity inside. ## This medication dis the same to my husband who was taking it for a UTI, bladder and kidney infection. It did not clear up the infection and now he cannot seem to get rid of the 'thrush' in his mouth which is actually a growth caused by this med killing the good bacteria and allowing it to happen. try taking acidiphilus or any good probiotic.... ## You should get a prescription from your doctor for troche or for a liquid called Nystatin. It is a yeast infection from the antibiotic. When we take them they also kill the good germs we have in our mouth and other places. This will quickly help the...

I'd suggest trying a completely different doctor to get another opinion, preferably a pediatrician. Ringworm is actually a fungal infection and you can see a picture of what it looks like here to see if it matches what ...

UpdatedWhat is Lotrin? How is it used? What are its effects. ## Did you mean to say Lotrimin? I found nothing under the name Lortin. Lotrimin (also known as Clotrimazole) is used to treat yeast infections of the vagina, mouth, and skin such as athlete's foot, jock itch, and body ringworm. It can also be used to prevent oral thrush in certain patients. The link below offers information on how this drug should be taken: You can also click on the link below for more details about this drug and it's effects: Please post back if you have any other questions or comments to add.
I just can't remember what condition it was prescribed for. I have redness around my scrotum and upper inner thighs. Is it for that condition? ## Have you asked your doctor? Can IP 272 be givn o treat athletes foot ## I honestly don't think you need medication to treat athletes foot; just proper home treatment and not walking around barefoot in gyms or other public places that can prolong the condition should be enough. Garlic is a great antifungal antiseptic. There are several ways you can use the garlic to treat athlete's foot. 1. Crush a couple cloves into small pieces and add a small amount of rubbing alcohol and water; soak foot for at least a half hour. 2. Crush several cloves and add to olive oil for 2-3 days. Then rub the mixture all over foot. (I found this to work the best because the olive oil keeps the skin moist) 3. You can even try cutting a clove of garlic and placing the pieces directly onto the skin. Also do not forget to keep shoes...
can i by terrasil max over the counter to get rid of a bad rash on my face that has never really gone away in years? need help with this problem iv tried everything to get rid of it ,its like it goes into hibernation then comes back with a vengence dont know what to do or take for guaranteed results ## You can buy Terrasil Max on our website at and any purchase you make with us has a 90-day money back guarantee. ## Jimmy, have you seen a doctor and had any tests performed to see what is causing the rash? If it is something caused by a virus in your body, there may not be any cure or any way to prevent it from returning. For instance, while it isn't known to cause rashes on other parts of the body, there are rare times where it does happen with the Herpes Simplex virus:

because of a lawsuit going I need to know what this drug is to see if I have taken it and the generics ## I would also like to know if this is the same drug as neurotin or naporsin ## I am trying to find out the same thing---what is Nuproxil and Rovacid or is it Rovicid and they misspelled it? ## There aren't any US drugs listed under the name Nuproxil, so I can't help you there. Nuproxil is the name of a company that manufactures medications, not a drug in itself. There is also not a drug named Rovacid, just Rovicid, so I believe that was a spelling error. Anita, if you are referring to Neurontin and Naprosyn, then no, they are two different drugs. Neurontin is Gabapentin and used to treat Epilepsy seizures and certain types of nerve pain. Naprosyn is just a prescription name f...
A doctor prescribed Dermacombin for what she said was a minor infection on my labia. I had no symptoms before, but I've just used it one day and now feel very raw and sore. Should I discontinue use? ## Have you contacted the doctor to ask them? Anytime you have odd or unusual effects from any type of medication, that you weren't warned about as being normal, you should contact your doctor or pharmacist and get their advice. Dermacombin contains the active ingredients Nystatin, Neomycin, Gramicidin and Triamcinolone, it is basically a combination cream to treat topical skin infections. However, any one of the active ingredients or even something considered inactive could be causing your problem, or it could be the infection itself.
