Hello, I hope someone can help me as my psychiatrist is not much help. I was on Brintellix 5mg for about a month my Dr then moved me up to 10mg and I have been on that dosage for 2 months. So a total of about 3 months. At first I thought it was working and was feeling good about it, recently I have had some major stress in my life and I really think it is making things worse than better. I have also gained about 25 pounds in 3 months, I have severe run to the bathroom diarrhea and I am constantly sweating for no reason. My question since I have only been on it for 3 months would I need to taper or could I just stop taking it? I am very concerned with withdrawal symptoms after I had read that they can be severe. 36 year old female, 2 kids(5 yrs. & 10 mos.) Had terrible post pardum depression and anxiety attacks. This medicine has helped me tremendously over the last 7 months BUT now my hair is falling out like crazy. Every time I wash my hair I lose like 20-30 strands. It is not as healthy as at was and much thinner. I started taking a women's multivitamin and a biotin supplement to help but I guess I am gonna have to call my psychiatrist and switch to another medication. Sucks because I don't want to have to deal with the emotional rollercoaster of adjusting to a new med. I was diagnosed with pcos a few years back. Since then I have been on and off on different BCPs. Initially I took Diane 35 For six months and everything was fine but after few months ovarian cysts and facial hair was back...so after a few months I took crisanta for six months which suited me too....but after stopping the pills all problems were back in a year... This time a different doctor prescribed me krimson 35 but it did not suit me as I had a lot of hairfall and depression...so I stopped and hairfall and depression improved...but after some time facial hair got worse and so did my periods... I am 29 and I have a girlfriend whom I am committed and attracted to. She turns me on and yes she does get me aroused in every sense of the word but my man parts just don't stay hard long enough to even switch positions. I take Celexa, Tramadol and Clonazepam for various reasons but I think it is the Tramadol having this side effect because if I go off of it for a day I get a crazy sex drive. Yes, it can cause those types of side effects in some people that take it, kind of acting the opposite of what it should do. There's no explanation as to why, it just happens, as reported by the FDA. I have an oval shaped pill lime green in color with 212 on one side and a split on the other side with 1/6. It's an Sertraline (Zoloft) pill but I don't know the MG. Hi guys I've been on 30 mg of lexapro and the side effects of fatigue and tiredness have not gone away after 4 years. I just kinda dealt with it but now I wanna switch medicine. I was taking Cymgen 60mg for about 7 months, and I recently changed to Brintellix. To ween myself off of Cymgen, I took a half dosage for 8 days, then took both my new prescription of Brintellix and my half dose of Cymgen for another 4 days before completely stopping with Cymgen, as recommended by my psychiatrist. I accidentally doubled my dose of wellbutrin and now I am shaking. I've had several hours of trembly hands. Does anybody know if this is common? Yes, Wellbutrin has been known to cause that type of side effect even at lower doses, in some people that take it, as listed by the FDA. Other side effects may also include nausea, dizziness, nervousness and insomnia. I tried it once for smoking cessation and I had to stop taking it due to the trembling and nervousness it caused. I have been on many SSRI's, SNRI's, Anti-psychotics etc....all of my life. I will be 55yrs old, and even after both my preganancies had post partum depression severly. On my second preganancy when doctor found out I was preganant decided to switch me from valium right away, to 10mg of imipramine daily, so would not get the depression as bad as did with my 1st pregnancy. I have been battling with it most of my life ever since the birth of my children. I developed sever panic attacks at the age of 28yrs after a severe and drastic hysterectomy.
