Female. 58 yrs. old. Major Depressive Disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder & General Anxiety following vehicle accident. On Effexor XR for 6 yrs. (highest dosage 187.5 mg, lowest dosage managed 112.5 mg). It did not work well for me but better than nothing. I began titrating from Effexor xr to Brintellix on Jan. 18, 2015. Effexor finished on Feb. 15th. Increased Brintellix from 10 to 15mg six days ago. I popped out of bed at 6:00 a.m. this morning happy & motivated (had 9 hours of good quality sleep). Then at 1:00 p.m. I became incredibly irritable (definitely not my nature). Will this irritability pass as it is scarey and not nice for my family to be around me? ## I too have been irritable for about 2 months. I have been taking 10 mg for a month and before that I took 5 mg ...

This medication has successfully helped many people, but the only way to see if it will work for you is by taking it a couple more weeks to find out. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache and dry mouth. I just started Pristiq today. I have depression and panic attacks several times a week. I was previously on Lexapro and Lamictil. I felt The Lamictal induced the panic attacks. My doc changes me to Effexor 160mg. My HR went through the roof, nausea, shakiness. My doc switched me to Pristiq. I feel so nauseated. How long will this last? I cannot wait this out for weeks! I have a life: a family, a job! I've seen mainly bad reviews for this medicine! Feeling frustrated! ## Hey Mama, I was on lexapro too and switched to pristiq. I am currently on day 36 of pristig 50 mg and the nausea went away after about a week. So with that part it'll get better. I too have bad anxiety and actually puke from anxiety but I have yet to puke on pristiq. Anxiety wise i don't know if it's help...

Would taking two of the IG250 (10mg) escitalopram be okay? What are the side effects of doing so, etc.? I just want to know if this is safe? I've been so much more anxious! ## It can be taken in doses up to 20mgs, but you shouldn't adjust your dosage, without your doctor's approval. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and weight changes. Is there anything else I can help with?

is it like zanax whats the difference? what does it help,,,depression,sleeplessness,what... ## Teva lists this tablet as containing 10mgs of Buspirone, which is actually an anxiolytic. However, it's one that's taken daily, to help prevent anxiety attacks, rather than being taken as needed like benzodiazepines. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache and dry mouth. Is there anything else I can help with?

I'm looking for the name of the manufacture of 68180-0361-09 sertraline 25mg tablets. ## Hello, Jeanne! How are you? Can you please post back with the markings on the tablets? That is what would enable me to research them for you. Thanks! The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and weight gain.

I have found a pill that is tiny like a mini M&M, round and a pale yellow colour. One side has 100 imprinted above the score mark and the other side has nothing on it. There is mot a coating on it either. I've had no luck whatsoever in identifying this pill online but two images have been close; trazodone or morphine. Any ideas?

I have been on this drug (10mg) for about five months. I found it less effective than citalopram in helping with my mood but I have a bit more energy. It worked enough for me to stay on it. At first I was not constipated at all but the last three months now I have had to take multiple stool softeners a day just to be able to go at all. I am considering quitting the drug. ## Hello, Sarah! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem you've having. This medication can cause constipation in some people that take it, as reported by the FDA, along with nausea, dry mouth and weight changes. However, having been on it this long, it should have eased off, by now. I'd suggest consulting your doctor as it may not be the right medication for you to take. Been on pristiq 6-7 weeks on mg. I notice I've been getting better but I'm a lot more angry and agitated. I recently quit lexapro but my dr said that is just me getting angry, I'm concerned if it's the drug or me? Anyone know if pristiq can make you angry ## Hello, Chris 51! How are you? That can be a normal side effect for the first few weeks, when you take such a medication, especially coupled with the withdrawal effects of stopping the Lexapro. It usually takes about 3 to 4 weeks for things to improve. Other side effects, as listed by the FDA, may possibly include nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and weight changes. Is there anything else I can help with?

I just recently decided to try Lexapro 10mg nine days ago. My OBGYN recommended this for me to try if I wanted to because for 2 weeks out of every month before my period my hormones are completely out of it. I'm an emotional roller coaster. So, I thought what could it hurt to try. My experience has been awful with Lexapro. The very first day of taking it, I could not sleep, I felt very sick to my stomach. Second day.....still sick to my stomach, couldn't sleep and ringing in my ears. By the 4th day on this med all the side effects above including feeling like I have to bite down hard, grinding of the teeth, and cannot climax when me and my husband are having intercourse. Me and my husband are extremely intimately active with each other (5x a week) It's awful in my opinion. A...

Would withdrawal symptoms affect me after forgetting to take the medication for 4 days? OR Would I be getting withdrawal symptoms from dropping dosages in my lexapro? I have been on it for roughly 6 months and 3 weeks ago the dr told me to drop down to 10mg which I cut my 20's in half but I am constantly forgetting. I haven't taken them for 4 days until I remembered last night. I feel mentally and emotionally fine. I don't cry more then usual and circumstances have changed for me recently and I felt as though I no longer need anti depressants. The last few weeks I've had some health issues similar to the side effects of starting lexapro but they only lasted about a week. but in the last week or so I've had a lot of other things that are beginning to concern me: -Incr...

How are you? Yes, it is normal to feel worse, before you feel better with most antidepressant/anxiety medications. It usually takes about 3 weeks, before it eases off and things improve, if it's working for you. I have been taking trazadone for 2 weeks for sleeping 25mg-50mg a day. I last had 25mg at 23.30 last night and would like to drink this evening frlm 7pm. Obviously I wont take my trazadone tonight but will I be okay to drink? Will it be out of my system? Thanks. ## It is best not to mix it will alcohol, even by skipping the next dose. It can aggravate the side effects, making you experience more nausea, dizziness and drowsiness than usual. However, if your doctor approves of your imbibing, please make sure that you will not be driving or operating heavy machinery. The FDA lists the other typical side effects of this medication as possibly including dry mouth, headache and weight changes. Is there anything else I can help with?

I have been prescribed duloxetine and on the box from pharmacist it says avoid excessive sunlight ## Hello, Kathy! How are you? Yes, that is common with many medications, they can make you more sensitive to the effects of the sun, so you may burn much faster than usual, or become overheated much sooner than normal. Other typical side effects, as listed by the FDA, may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and weight gain. Is there anything else I can help with?

My daughter was prescribed Mirtazapine for insomnia. Does it cause depression? ## It's actually a type of antidepressant, but it can have the opposite of its intended effect in some people that take it. Learn more Mirtazapine details here. Is she having a problem with depression? ## Mirtazapine is an antidepressant therefore should not cause depression however of all the antidepressants it is very good for anxiety and sleep too so in some individuals this might translate to depression. If you have a vegetative type of depression rather than an anxious type you might experience sluggishness in a.m. ## Sorry, but I have been taking mirtazapine 15mg and I can confirm that it has altered my behavior, increased the frequency of my absence seizures, increased suicide attempts and worsened...
