I've suffered from anorexia in the past and have severe anxiety. After taking the genomind test I can only take a few medications like pristiq. I've lost 6 pounds so far on pristiq during the last 3 months and can't afford to lose anymore. I thought antidepressants were supposed to help give me my appetite back again and not worry about food. Should I ask to switch to something that will make me more hungry? ## Hello, Alyssa! How are you doing? Has there been any change? Pristiq, as reported by the FDA, hasn't been known to cause significant weight gain or loss in may people that take it. Its typical side effects are listed as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache and dry mouth. Weight loss is listed as an uncommon side effect that you should report to your doct...

I take 300mg Wellbutrin every morning. I usually take either Norco or Percocet for pain (10/325's) but i am out right now. Will a 30 or 45mg morphine react badly because i take Wellbutrin? I'm hurting & really want to take one- but don't want to die. ## Hello, Shay! How are you? No, these two should not be taken together. The Wellbutrin can cause you to absorb more of the Morphine than normal, which could result in overdose. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

I googled this pill but got more then one answer of what this is. ## Hi Jade, It took some major digging to find a match on this one, but my research indicates that a round white film-coated tablet with 20 on one side and a score line on the other is reportedly identified as Escitalopram oxalate (20mg). This medication is an antidepressant. So far I've only seen a single image of this pill throughout the entire internet, which leads me to believe that it is probably no longer being made in this specific form with these imprints. The vast majority of Escitalopram images signify that as well. Unfortunately there aren't any other details I could go off of in terms of verifying the exact manufacturer, but hopefully this can at least help serve as strong prospect until further notice...

I was on the generic for Lexapro for almost 2 months I was lightheaded from day 1 all day everyday. I originally was put on 20 mg a week, later was dropped to 10 mg, another week later was dropped again to 5 mg and I believe two weeks after that I was taking 5 mg one day and 10 the next. I did that for about a week, then I decided my light headedness was not getting any better , I decided to come off of it. They put me back on 5 mg every other day, then every 2 then every 3. I have been off of it since 2/2. I have experienced palpitations ( about 2 weeks of them )I have had a 24 hour holter monitor on , 2 EKGs, they came back good. I am having a stress test / echo tomorrow . The palpitations are not as bad now as they were after I got the results my heart was fine . Then I experienced p...

Small white pill with the letter M and 77 on back side pleze let me know? ## Hello, Margy! How are you? The only tablet with this marking that I can find listed is one that has the M and 77 on one side and the opposite side is blank. It is manufactured by Mylan Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 10mgs of Amitriptyline, which is an antidepressant. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and weight changes. Does this match the description of the pill in question?

I've been taking citalopram for just over a week and I've got the shakes and my walking has gotten slower. Also, I tend to forget things. I am feeling washed out and tired. I'm not bothering with my appearance as I can't be bothered to even cook myself a hot meal. I'd rather live on crisps and snacks. Is this normal or does it get better with time? ## No, this is NOT normal. It sounds like you are having a bad reaction to the medication and you should contact your doctor immediately to inform them. They will want to rule out other causes and if it is the medication, you may need to try something else. Have you contacted them, yet? ## Hi. I've just been put on citalopram 10mg a day for depression and anxiety. Has anyone out there benefited from this drug and does ...

Has anyone found anything that helps with lexapro drowsiness? I have been on lexapro 20mg for just over a year and feels like drowsiness is getting worse and getting in the way of life. Although lexapro has been great for my mood I feel as though I am wasting my day with the amount of sleep I need. ## I have suffering with incredible drowsiness, but aince I am on a pain patch and gabapentin and a few others I just assumed they were to blame for the several naps a day. Maybe it is the lexapo. This is why I had the doctor take me off Lyrica, but not only am I still suffering from drowsiness but it so bad I can't drive far, have to plan work etc so I can take nap. I go to my Doc tomorrow and I will ask him! ## Thanks for the reply, let me know what the doc says about it if you can

What medications contain MAOI ? ## I answered your email, but will post here as well. No, this is not an MAOI, an MAOI is a type of antidepressant, the drug you are using is an antihistamine that just has the antidepressant and antianxiety effects as a side effect. ## I take it and have had no problems.. just good sleep and alot less agitation... ## Can delsym be taken after hydroxyzine

I am 27 years old. I want to commit suicide now because I have been in depression for a long period. Can any medication help? ## I was diagnosed with depression. I have this mood that sometimes I get so angry and feeling like committing suicide.. Is that normal? ## Suicide's not the answer & almost all Anti-Depressants are linked to serious side effects, No.#1 Suicide. I can tell you what saved my life. Hi I am 25 years old and I have been on zoloft for about 5 weeks now. I am on 75mg. I am on it for panic attacks. So the panic attacks went away at about week 2 on the medicine but around week 3 I started getting REALLY bad headaches that last all day. Then about a week ago the headaches sort of went away but now I suddenly feel cross eyed. It doesn't look like I am cross eyed though. I went to the hospital Thursday because I was so scared I thought i had a tumor or i was going blind or something and the MRI came back fine and blood work is all ok they said it could be vertigo and gave me anti vert which is a medicine to treat that. That medicine doesn't work at all for me I tried taking it for 2 days and I still have this weird cross eyed vision thing. It actually gives me a he...

I have Cymbalta that expired 05/2014. With this being 02/2016, is this medication safe to take? ## Hello, Lynn! How are you? As reported by the FDA, this medication does not become dangerous once expired, but it does start to lose effectiveness, so it may no longer work as well as it did, when new. It would be best to dispose of the expired medication. The typical side effects of this medication may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and weight changes. Is there anything else I can help with?

I have been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and Depression. I have been on many different meds and am feeling very frustrated about how things are not progressing. I had been hearing good things about Pristiq, so my Dr. gave me a month of samples. I have done some more reading and have some questions. 1. I read that it makes some people sleepy and some people have energy so when is the best time to take it? 2. Looking at the drug interactions, there are 188 major drug reactions, one of which is Adderall, and I am prescribed that too. Is anyone taking Adderall with Pristiq? 3. Is it really the same thing as Effexor? Any help you could give would really be appreciated Thanks Shel ## I take Pristiq and Adderall along with a whole host of other things for Fibromyalgia and Depression. My doctor ...

found red/white capsule pills in son's bedroom. They were in a baggy. He has been acting a little different in the last month but we have put it down to age (18) and the stress of football training. He is a senior this year, starting wide receiver and corner. Please help. I am not sure where to turn, Q ## I found red and white capsules with no markings in my granddaughter's room. She is in outpatient care for depression and cutting. How do I find out what they are without turning her in to the counselors? ## @scared mom, Unfortunately, there's really no way to ID a pill without an imprint. All Rx and OTC drugs in the U.S. are required by law to have an imprint; otherwise it could be a vitamin, herbal, energy, diet, foreign or illicit. It is possible that the imprint could...

My daughter takes 30 mg of Prozac in the morning. I did a home drug test on her 12 hrs later as I suspected drug use by her behavior. The Lab results came back positive for Amphetamines 7799 ng/mg. Can Prozac show up as Amphetamines? What do the numbers mean?

I recently started taking Mirtazapine for depression. I started at 15 mg. and this was increased to 30 mg after about four weeks. I have started to suffer almost debilitating lower back pain on a daily basis which I do understand is a rare but potential side effect. In addition, my hands are slightly swollen and any repeated use of my hands/fingers also results in severe pain. The hand pain will subside after I stop whatever I was doing. In addition, I sometimes lose feeling in my hands (almost like a lack of blood supply) and when I change their position, I experience "pins and needles". Has anyone else had this combination of symptoms? Will they resolve themselves over time or should I have my Doctor switch me to something else? Any feedback would be appreciated. ## I have sto...
