red capsule with imprint GG 643. My friend takes it in one of those pill day of the week things given to him by his wife. He was crushed in a mine accident. He takes pain, depression, sleep and more everyday. But I found all of his medicine but this red capsule with GG 643 on it. He takes it but he doesn't even know what it is. So I was trying to help him. Thanks ## Is it possible that marking is GG 634 and one of you transposed the numbers? I found this: This tablet contains 100mgs of Amantadine (NDC 54569-0084 ). Inactive Ingredients: - Starch, Corn - Croscarmellose Sodium - Ethylcellulose (7 Mpa.s) - Fd&c Blue No. 1 - Fd&c Red No. 40 - Gelatin - Magnesium Stearate - Methylparaben - Cellulose, Microcrystalline - Propylparaben - Sodium Lauryl Sulfate - Titanium Dioxide

Recent urine tox screen in ER was positive for benzodiazepines even though I had not taken anything other than cough medicine with codeine, Lexapro and Remeron. Can the Remeron show up as a benzodiazepine? ## Remeron contains the active ingredient Mirtazapine, it is an antidepressant. That said, no, it should not show up as a Benzodiazepine. There have, however, been a lot of posts recently about these tests coming up with false positives, which makes me thing there is a bad batch out there. Have you talked to your doctor about this? ## I also take mirtazapine and have been getting false positives for benzodiazipines in my system has anybody else experienced this problem. Does anybody have a explanation or reply that would help me out. thanks. C ## i also take remeron (mirtazapine) and ...

I just started taking prozac and have been on it a week now, though I haven't seen or felt any difference yet. Does this medication make you gain weight? ## Hey, well actually prozac usually has no side effects and I've been on it for almost a month. When my doctor asked me what my eating habits are like I said "good" and I asked why, and he said just to make sure, but prozac usually wont make you hungry or not hungry so it might be something else. ## He is talking crap, I just started to take Prozac and it made me eat more too. I also had recovered and was off Diabetes meds and now I'm back on them cause of the Prozac too. So it made my reading high and the doctor told me it didn't. Prozac causes my blood pressure to go up too. ## Is anyone on this thread still ...

I have been on sertraline by Greenstone for a few years with great results. My pharmacy switched me to aurobindo sertraline and I have been on a downward spiral. I am having severe anxiety, insomnia, jittery, extremely tired, verbally agressive and just not feeling good. Have you received any complaints regarding sertraline by Aurobindo. Why doesn't the pharmacy inform us when they change manufactors? And do you have any information ,questions or complaints regarding sertraline by Cipla USA. Please reply. PLEASE AND THANK YOU....... ## They should inform you, while they are not required to do so, most pharmacy's will let you know that the new pills are different from your old ones, but they contain the same ingredient. The FDA does warn that Sertraline may cause side effects, su...

Hello- I was recently taking a 100mg doseage of Zoloft for about 3 months. I have decided to discontinue taking Zoloft about 5 days ago. Since then I have had a bit of a nauseated feeling and a dull headache? Is this normal? Is this a possible withdrawal side effect? ## When you stop taking a drug like Zoloft you are suppose to taper the dose not just stop all together. I have read in other places that people do sometimes have withdrawal symptoms. ## i also take zoloft and tried going off of it by myself. i can tell you first hand that if you feel sick, it is probably a withdrawal symptom. it happened to me and i had to start taking zoloft again in order to start feeling better. it really is not a good idea to go off your meds on your own....you have to be taken off these meds gradually...

I have Bipolar, PTSD, Panic Disorder/Agoraphobia. I'm on 20mg and two months in. Since taking it I have gone to parties, socialized, smile more often, no more insomnia, clearer thinking, more motivation, optimistic/planning for the future, and best of all completely calm! No panic attacks in months vs as many as 4/day (on average 4/week). No manic symptoms, no side effects. I had a few gastro symptoms at first but they went away. I noticed a significant improvement each time I raised my dose. It took about 6 weeks to notice a major change in my anxiety, but now I feel normal. Way better than even benzos in my case, and I can think on this drug. I have been taking antidepressants since 1991 and this one is by far the best for me. It's worth a try, but like any drug it's not f...

Im looking for a list of drugs to quit smoking. Thank you ## I don't know all of them but the first ones that come to mind are the family of Bupropion such as Zyban, Wellbutrin, etc. ## These "how to quit smoking" findings are incredible! I really believe that these tips and devices can help smoking cessation. I particularly have found a brilliant way to stop smoking definitively. This is called Autogenic Training. It's not my invention. It is an Audio Program. It has lots of research to support the achievements of the method. In this method you will train yourselves to relax while reprogramming your brain in the way to stop smoking. It is kind of self anti smoking hypnosis. These techniques helped me to stop drinking alcohol. I really think that Autogenic Training will ...

I've tried almost all of the Zolofts, Paxils, Prozacs and I can not tolerate the serotonin. Now I'm trying Nortriptyline and I'm wondering if anyone has had a good result without suffering side effects that make you so sick you cant take it? ## Hello Vicki! How are you? Have you started taking it, yet? Nortriptyline is a tricyclic antidepressant, so it works differently than the others. The FDA lists the typical side effects of Nortriptyline as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and mood changes. Ref: Nortriptyline Information What types of issues did you experience while taking the others? ## I also cannot tolerate any kind of SSRI, or SNRI, but I remember taking nortriptyline years ago for migraines I think and I don’t remember having any kind...

I have been taking Cilift and Purata for some time now and it worked till recently when I started feeling down and depressed again. My Dr changed Cilift for Urbanol and I still take Purata, is this right. Whilst going thru the change, I experienced electric like shocks when I moved my eyes, this is now gone, but now I regularly get an overwhelming feeling of no energy, tiredness and feel totally drained. Could this be a side effect from the Urbanol ? I am under the impression that Urbanol is an anti-depressant and Purata is an anxiety pill ? Have I got it all wrong ? ## Hi. I have been using urbanol as prescribed by the docter for anxiety. Problem is it's done, and I have not been using it for about two weeks. Since I stopped taking it I've been experiencing severe headaches, fe...

It says do not take if you are taking other meds with MAOI. What do those initials stand for? ## It's a class of medication, a Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitor, they are a type of antidepressant. ## I would be shocked, but not surprised, if you were prescribed such powerful medication without a detailed, clear explanation of its side effects. It is unfortunate that many doctors treat patients with mental illness like children, incapable of understanding their own condition and medications. If this happened to me, I would find another doctor. And never take drugs from someone else's prescription. it is not only illegal but can be deadly. Note: I am a complete layman. Do not take my advice without first consulting with a licensed mental health professional. ## What are MAOI medications...

I got put on Paxil for anxiety and depression. Started off on 20 mg but didn't notice a difference. By the time it was over I was taking 40 mg a day and my depression did not get better. I stopped taking them because I got to the point where I wanted to put a gun to my head. So I switched doctors and got put on Xanax and Prystic and I've felt great every since. Thanks Paxil for almost making me make a big mistake. And thanks to my former doctor that just keep upping the dosage and telling me that I just have to give it time. ## Hello Jeff! How are you doing? I am very sorry about what you went through. The FDA does provide a warning that most psychiatric medications can cause an increase in suicidal thoughts, in some people that take them. This warning should be included in your...

I decided to break open my 40mg capsule and swallow it. BAD IDEA. It burned my throat like no tomorrow and made my whole head numb....Gross tasting and made me vomit. Whoever might think this a good idea... Just don't do it! Oh and it made me feel like I was choking to death also....Great...Worse than the anxiety I already had. Perfect... ## It is to prevent such effects, that they are made into a capsule form. Many medications will do odd things if you ingest them improperly, that is why tablets and capsules were invented. And yes, most of them also taste disgusting. Thanks for posting the warning for others! I have just started taking this drug and understand that it is to help me sleep and help with chronic pain. However, I cannot sleep well with this, even though I feel drugged for at least 15 hours after a very low dose - 10 mg. It is also supposed to help with depression, but I feel more depressed. Can anyone shed light on this for me? What are your experiences with this drug? ## Hi Mieke, As a psychotherapist and a Holistic practitioner I wanted to address your comment because it sounds like your body is not responding well to the medication. You are not sleeping well and feeling drugged out much of the day and most alarming is that even though it is supposed to help you with the depression, it is actually making you feel worse. I am speculating, but are you a young adult (18 to 25 yrs...

I was perscribed Effexor XR 75MG for one year after suffering from depression after the death of a family member. 10 days ago I stopped using this medication and I have had strange side effects I contribute to withdrawal. I get waves of tingling throughout my body. Like an electric shock feeling. I wanted to know if anyone else has had this feeling after discontinuing Effexor XR. ## i was on effexor for nearly 4 years, a dose of 150mg i had somewhat intense withdraw that lasted for a couple of weeks. i had to comae of them slowly. ## I know EXACTLY what you're going through, Lori. Please let me know if you take doxepin tricyclic antidepressant. If so how much do you take and how long does it take to work? Please respond. ## Hello, Theresa! How are things? I have never taken it myself, but Doxepin is actually now considered to be both a tricyclic and an anxiolytic medication. Like other medications in this class, it usually takes 4 to 6 weeks to reach its full level of effectiveness. Its common side effects may include nausea, dizziness, hypotension and erectile dysfunction. ## Theresa, Hi, I take 100mgs a night, takes about 1 hour to really get sleepy.
