Hi, I picked up my prescription of Paxil 10 mg today from CVS, it’s brand name and was in a sealed bottle from manufacturer. The pills are oval, yellow one side says Paxil and the other is 10 but with a spitter line in the middle. They have always looked like this. When I look at the Paxil side of the pill and flip it up like a notepad page all my old pills would show the 10 facing up but this last bottle the 10 is upside down. Is this normal? Shouldn’t their imprint all be consistent? Pharmacist said it’s fine but I want to confirm because I am super anxious about taking them and have to take it today. I look forward to your reply, thank you! ## Your pharmacist is correct it is fine, there's nothing that says they have to all face the same direction. It really dep...

I was started on Cymbalta 60 mg after Celexa had stopped helping me with my depression. After almost a month on the drug, I began to have nosebleeds and my blood pressure was extremely high. I had never had high blood pressure or a nose bleed in my life and I am 54 years old! They became uncontrollable and I had to be hospitalized and have an epistaxis embolization. I was in the hospital for 5 days due to the bleeding. I mentioned to the physicians that I had read that these were rare side effects of Cymbalta. They all looked at me like I had two heads! I can find no other reason for this sudden health change in me. Has anyone else had something like this happen to them while on Cymbalta? I would like to hear from you. I was just released from the hospital yesterday and am now dealing w...

round green pill, coated covered; what is name of drug, what is it for? ## Sun Pharmaceuticals lists this tablet as containing 50mgs of Imipramine, which is a tricyclic antidepressant. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, mood changes, and weight changes. Is there anything else I can help with?

I have been on Fluoxetine for 9 years and took 20mg but then I started taking every other day thinking I was gonna come off it, but started feeling bad again so I’m on my 4th week of taking it every day again. The side effects are really bad again, thought my body will be used to it. Can anyone help ## What side effects are you experiencing? Can you please post back and clarify? Thank you! The NIH lists the typical ones as possibly including nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, headache, and weight loss, along with others. If you were taking it every other day, then started taking it every day, again, that is essentially a dosage change, so it is normal for you to experience side effects, again, for about 4 to 6 weeks.

My mother is diabetes and suffer from burning foot and ankle pains and symptoms. Her doctor has prescribes Trepiline 10mg, one at night time. Any reason why? As i have reading up on the drug, and no where does it state anything to do with the lower leg pains. Also will this be the reason why her blood suger levels spike (+15) now and again? ## Amitriptyline is a tricyclic antidepressant, some of these do help some people with certain types of nerve pain. And it can have an effect on blood sugar, it can raise or lower it. Do you have any other questions? ## iv been on amitriptyline 10mg for 5 weeks now for lower leg pain which stops me from sleeping , and to be honest they do seem to work,, i sleep through the night now, my only problem is my mouth seems to get dry . ## I am on Trepeline...

Hi. I have been on 60 mg Cymbalta for anxiety before with great success (which is why I stopped because I felt so good). Anyway a year later I am having another episode with anxiety and was put back on Cymbalta 30 mg. I was only on that for 8 days and then switched to the 60 mg. I am finding some increased anxiety (but within my body not mind) on the increase and it has been 9 days. My Dr. thinks I should go back down to 30 for three weeks but I almost feel like now that I have been on the 60 for 8 days the symptoms will subside any day and I don't want to start over at 30? Has any one had a similar experience. Replies would be greatly appreciated . Please only positive feedback, no horror stories, I don't think I could handle that right now. THank you! ## Though I haven't b...

I took levosulpiride for about 3-4 months continuously for gastroesophageal reflux disorder. After stopping the drug I started feeling depressed. Is it because of using levosulpiride? ## Hello, Paru! How are you doing? Has there been any improvement? Yes, this medication is actually also commonly used as an antipsychotic and to treat various other mental health disorders, so suddenly stopping it could cause depression, anxiety, nausea, diarrhea and muscle aches. It may take a week or two for things to return to normal, however, if it worsens, or doesn't go away, you should consult your doctor. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Hi Paru and Verwon... i used levosulpiride for about 9 months continuosly for gastroesophageal reflux disorder.. As Paru told, after stopping the dru...

I started on bupropion xl 150 mg, taking it to help with my libido ( 50+ years old going through menopause) and weight loss. Libido was great and lost a few pounds first week then nothing. Dr increased to 300 mg... I have been taking for 4 weeks, no weight loss and no libido.... I know this med can take awhile to work... any thoughts, will it begin to work soon? Anyone experience same thing? ## That's rather odd, while the FDA does list it as not being known to decrease libido, it is also not known to increase it in most people that take it. It is also not usually used, by itself to aid in weight loss, it is usually accompanied with Naltrexone. The FDA warns that this combination, known as Contrave, may cause headache, nervousness, dizziness, and anorexia. Did your doctor try you on...

My pharmacy changed manufacturers of trazodone from Apo T150 to Qualitest brand. First problem is that it doesn't work. It took 3 hours to finally doze off, and 30 minutes later I woke up thinking I was choking, but actually had severe dry mouth and after 1/2 bottle of water it is getting a little better. Is this manufacturer change due to Medicare changes, or pharmacy (Walgreens) changes? Thank you for any information you can provide. ## Hi Charlotte, I been taking trazodone for many years and I live here in ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI. You have no idea how happy I am to see I'm not going nuts. Sorry, I was not being rude when I said I was happy to see your message. I think u knew what meant. I have been taking 150 mg of Pristiq for over 5 years. As of 5 days ago, I have completely weened off the drug (with support from a psychiatrist). I have a lot of the common side effects (fatigue, dizziness, "brain zaps", agitation, depression, suicidal thought, nightmares); however, I also feel delusional. It's hard to describe because of how subtle it is. Essentially, everything around me feels amiss. I apologize for the dramatic description, but it's like the feeling of my nightmares is transcending to my waking life. I don't know how else to describe it. I feel like I'm living in a nightmare. Has anyone else experienced something like this? It is agonizing and disturbing. ## Hello, Daniel! How are you doing? Yes, I have! Not with Pristiq, since I've never...

I would like to go off Lexamil 10mg. How can I do it ? Can I leave it at once ? ## How long have you been taking it and what has your doctor advised? Lexamil contains the active ingredient Escitalopram, which is an SSRI antidepressant and, if you've been taking it for a long period of time, then a sudden cessation may cause withdrawal and rebound effects, which may be worse than the condition you started taking it to treat. In most cases, it is best to taper these types of medications, as slowly as possible. ## I've been using it for 9 months now. Should I first reduse it. I'm gaining wait and think it is the Lexamil. ## Yes, you should definitely speak to your doctor about a tapering plan to get off of it and avoid most of the withdrawal and rebound effects. They may even b...

I have been taking 20mg Fluoxetine and 15mg of Mirtazapine daily. I have entered a drug study for depression and keep showing benzodiazapine positive though I'm not using any. ## I've come to the conclusion that you can in fact have false positives for Benzodiazepines while taking a Selective Seratonin Re-uptake Inhibitor (SSRI) such as Fluoxetine. Although it is not commonly known for causing false positives for Benzodiazepines, there's always that chance. In any case, many places should allow you to present proof of a prescription prior to the screening; that way you won't be held accountable for a positive result. I would consider letting them know what's going on, if you haven't already. I hope this helps! ## I just took my weekly drug test and I popped posit...

I was on Pristiq for nearly four years to help stabilize my mood (50mg). The drug was fantastic in achieving the result I was looking for and really gave me the space in my head to come to terms with my issues and time to reflect. The side effects for me were weight gain (15kg) and loss of libido but overall a small price to pay. I decided in December to come off the drug and read as much information as I could find, both professional and user opinion. I spoke with my doctor initially and his advice was to take the medication on alternate days. I chose to ignore that advice based on the way I felt if I missed a day and reading others experiences. Against manufacturers advice I decided to cut the tablet and reduce my dose a quarter at a time. To start with I spoke with my family to make ...

Hi everyone, Please can someone help me? 4 weeks ago I increased dosage of brintellix to 20mg (bc I started feeling very low again) after taking 10mg since December and finding improvement. After 4 weeks of still feeling low, I have suddenly started feeling nausea and general sickness. Is this normal after 4 weeks of increased dose? Thanks in advance. The gp I spoke to about increasing had not even heard of the med before so I doubt she would have been able to advise on side effects of increasing unfortunately.. here in uk it's still a relatively new drug. ## Yes, if you increase your dosage, it is normal to experience more side effects for awhile, they usually taper off, after about 4 to 5 weeks, according to NIH reports. You may also experience anxiety, and weight changes. Are you...

I've been on 60 mg. of duloxetine for neuropathy for 3 months and I've lost nearly 20 pounds. My appetite is nearly nonexistent and I can't tolerate the sight of most foods. Is there anything to counter this side-effect? ## Hello, Buddz! How are you doing? Has there been any change There is really no way to counteract them, but usually such side effects are transient and go away, after about 4 to 5 weeks, once your body gets used to a medication, as detailed by the NIH. Given that it has not gone away for you, it would be best to have it checked out by your doctor, as you may need to try a different medication. Is this the only medication you are taking? ## Thanks for replying, Verwon. My neurologist changed my medication to amitriptylene. It's been a few days and I stil...

Can a oval white pill with the imprint 176 on one side and a line on the other be something else like asprin, Antidepressant etc... ## Hello, Judybug! How are you? From what I can find in the databases that I've checked, an oval, white tablet with 176 on one side and a score line on the other contains 10mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen, the active ingredients in Vicodin, Norco and others. Learn more Vicodin details here. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. And no, there aren't any other tablets in the U.S. that match this description and contain anything else. Imprints on prescription products here must be unique to enable their ident...
