I have been on Cymbalta for three years at a dosage of 60 mg taken once a day in the morning. For the last two weeks I have had frequent panic attacks and feel Cymbalta is losing its effectiveness. I am wondering if upping the dose might be necessary or spreading out the dosage throughout the day would work better. Or maybe, is there a newer medication out that other Cymbalta users have tried that is more effective.

Pale yellow oval pill with Teva Pharm listed as manufacturer and 682 imprinted on pill. Generic of Wellbutrin XL 300 MG. How's it different? Is it more or less likely to make me nauseous? Keep me awake at night? Give me jitters? Any thoughts? ## It's the same as the generic version of Wellbutrin XL which is called Buprospion HCL XL (extended realease). This just means once a day dosing. Most community health care centers don't cover XL's, If you can get on the Walgreen's 90 day supply cash plan, the price is about $125 for 90 days which is half the cost of CVS. And they mail it to you. I would go with the latter if on long term. PS - it is now approved for ttreatment of some forms of ADHD. But as always, ask your doc. Mostly prescribed for MDD, SAD, and smoking cessa...

taking 150 mg elavil at night for depression, sleep and anxiety, daily adding 150 mg wellbutrin to the mix As I also take my vitamins, fish oil, taking supplements. Still sleep way too much, not wanting out of bed or to even get energy to do laundry. Hard to make each day count anymore.Still not wanting to play piano, or to enjoy the little things. the Desire to just get out of bed is a struggle. Walking around the block is twice a week at night. I am not overweight but have fibromyalgia and chronic migraines. Lethargy is my middle name lately. No sex life ... ## GET RID OF THE ELAVIL. That'll make you sleep forever!!. You won't pee and gain mucho weight. But above all, the sleeping. If you must, take 25mg in the morning and night.

I began Effexor XR when it was first introduced to the US market. Prior to that I took just plain, old Effexor, which was more difficult to tolerate, and had to be taken several times a day. Effexor XR has been the only antidepressant to have some effect on lessening my depressive symptons, which are treatment resistant. It has by no means been ideal. i.e., it has not been able to crack the code of my depression, and free me of symptoms. It's been adequate at best. And although it is not recommended for Bipolar Disorder (I have Bipolar II) because of its ability to propel some individuals into mania or hypomania, my doctor, in frustration, said he would rather see me hypomanic, than chronically depressed. And, I agree with that position. I have also experienced it's menacing wit...

I took effexor one year ago, started with 37.5 and moved up to 75. It saved my family, and my marriage. I Took it for 6 months and then moved back down to 37.5 then quit cold turkey. Yes, you feel weird (zaps) for a week but it is NOTHING compared to depression or anxiety. I think people are forgetting how they felt when they went on hte stuff. Just pick a week that is non-eventful when you finally go off of it.. It is NOT a big deal when you consider how depression and anxiety can harm your family and the thought patterns of a young child. If I was single, I would not go on a drug...but now that I have children, my job is to show them how to live and be positive, not how to swim in a cycle of depression. For mothers considering this, do a bit of research on the brain patterns of childr...

Paxil is an SUI class of antidepressant, along with Prozac and similar compounds, its chief function as a seratonin reuptake inhibitor became very popular beginning in the late 80's and early 90's. I was on 30mg. daily for situational depression associated with a nasty and protracted divorce. The drug virtually saved me from imminent doom, as I was headed for a complete breakdown when I was finally diagnosed. It does have several noticeable side effects, which may or may not be tolerated well by each patient. Restlessness, insomnia, ejaculate dysfunction, erectile dysfunction and libido alteration seem to be the most apparent, at least in men. I found the side effects very manageable in comparison to the underlying depression, which WAS NOT tolerable. It helped me through a very...
