Depression In A Mom Hurts The Child
UpdatedI took effexor one year ago, started with 37.5 and moved up to 75. It saved my family, and my marriage. I Took it for 6 months and then moved back down to 37.5 then quit cold turkey. Yes, you feel weird (zaps) for a week but it is NOTHING compared to depression or anxiety. I think people are forgetting how they felt when they went on hte stuff. Just pick a week that is non-eventful when you finally go off of it.. It is NOT a big deal when you consider how depression and anxiety can harm your family and the thought patterns of a young child. If I was single, I would not go on a drug...but now that I have children, my job is to show them how to live and be positive, not how to swim in a cycle of depression.
For mothers considering this, do a bit of research on the brain patterns of children wiht depressed moms. They are finding that their brains ARE different. (psychology today)
