I am so glad I found this forum, as I see I'm not the only one experiencing terrifying sleep paralysis, amongst other side effects. I have been on 20mg for about five weeks now, and am calling my doctor first thing in the morning to get off this medication immediately. Aside from three full weeks of heavy side effects (GI issues, increased Depression [I've never even had Depression!], vertigo, nausea, etc... I am now experiencing sleep paralysis, auditory hallucinations, irrational thoughts, nightmares and increased anxiety because of the sleep paralysis. I have suffered from GAD, and Panic Disorder for 15 years, and have been on various SSRI's/Benzodiazepines, and can assure you I have never, ever been this terrified of a medication in my life, nor have I EVER had such irra...

I am 47 years old women , doctor suggest to prodep 10 mg for 2 years after 6 months left , again i feel uneasy shall i continue or not ## Prodep contains the active ingredient Fluoxetine, which is an SSRI antidepressant. And stopping this suddenly may cause rebound symptoms, which can be pretty severe and may include worsened anxiety and depression, so it usually should be stopped suddenly. You may require a dosage adjustment, or you might need to taper off of this medication and they should be able to help you with that. I take Citalopram and recently took a urine drug test and tested positive for Oxazepam, how can that be? ## I just had the same thing happen. They are sending it to the lab for more detail. I haven't taken anything and this can really mess up my life. I hope they figure it out...

already have two kids... daughter is 22 months...now again pregnant 6 weeks...husband not willing to let me use stmom. he thinks its life threatning. i dont want this baby..xtremely depressed and having suicidal thoughts. can some one help me or advice me what to do...financially we cant afford more kids

I was taking 100mg for over a yr an just felt numb plus went from size 10 to a 16. Put on so much weight. Dr put me on prozac an is tapering me off it over a mths time. The 1st 4 days without the pristiq was HELL. I was taking mega doses of omega 369 an liqiud b complex 4 times a day with lots an lots of water. I filled a gal milk jug an made sure to drink at least 1/2 a day. On day 4 the brain zaps were very very mild an I actually felt human again. Day 5 almost completely back to normal. More energy than Ive had in oved a yr. Temper a little short over those days but that is better too. Just hang in there. I know its hard an would be so much easier to take 1 pristiq just to feel better but then u would just have to start the detox all over again. There is a light at the end of the tunnel

14 years on zoloft. weaned off slowly .. was finally off for aprx 2 mo. maybe less. suddenly at er then admitted. dry mouth severe, with bizzare behavior? what would treatment be? no history of any mental illnes. was put on it for IBS pain in 1996- 2010 ## Hello, Leah! How are you? Did they directly tie it to the cessation of the Zoloft? It would be very odd for something like to happen 2 months after stopping it. And the treatment would depend on the cause of the episode, it's difficult to even guess from just the limited information in your posts. What did the hospital do? Is there a chance the person took anything else?

Can deprozan and resperidone be used at the same time ## Hello, Swanie! How are you? Generally, it isn't recommended for two reasons. The first is because the Fluoxetine tends to increase the level of the Risperidone, which can reach toxically dangerous levels and the second is that combination increases the QTc interval of your heart, which could also be dangerous. Has your doctor prescribed them both?

I have been taking 2 x 50mg sage leaf tables to combat hot flushes since about the end of September 2013 but have noticed that the symptoms are coming back a bit. ## Hello, Michelle! How are you? Unfortunately, while sage is claimed to help with hot flashes, it is only a nutritional supplement, which means there is actually no definitive proof that it does so. Have you consulted your doctor? Even if you don't want to use HRT, there are other options, such as a very low dose of the SSRI antidepressant Prozac. I take it for perimenopause symptoms and it really does help, a lot.

I have a tablet that is tan in color ,on one side it says G down under it is TZ5 ## Hello, Patti! How are you? Yes, the is a 50mg Trazodone tablet, it is an SARI antidepressant that is also sometimes used to treat resistant cases of insomnia. Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and weight changes. Is there anything else I can help with?

Has anyone here tried Aplenzin? If so, what were the results? This appears to be a very close alternative to Wellbutrin XL; however it uses bupropion hydrobromide in lieu of bupropion hydrochloride. When it comes down to the basics, the hydrobromide and hydrochloride only mean something on a chemical level and aren't relevant to the actual action and efficacy of the medication. They just denote the chemical salt that the medication is derived from. Thus, it's not really an alternative to Wellbutrin, because it is still the same medication, just formulated slightly differently and made by a different company. Is there anything else I can help with?

I have tried so many meds for severe depression anxiety fears etc which seemed to develop in 2012 after medical traumas I have tried many meds counseling etc with no help at all I am now prescribed prozac started at 20 for two weeks went to 40 for 2 weeks and then doc put me on 60 for two weeks no relief at all he said to go up to 80 now has anyone had success with this when others failed? ## Hello, Theresa! Prozac is actually a funny one, because it can make things worse for a bit, before they get better and you're not really going to see how effective it is for you, until you've taken the same dose for at least 3 weeks, it takes that long for it to really hit its efficacy level in your body. I recently tested positive for nortriptycine and cymbalta during a urine screen. I have been on penicillin and amoxycillin for several weeks following a tooth extraction. I have never taken either one of the drugs I tested positive for. What is going on here? ## Just today my doctor informed me that he had my sample retested and the false positive for nortriptyline and cymbalta were from nicotine and alcohol!! (I drink on average 1 drink/day and smoke socially)

took Prozac for 3 weeks and developed an itchy red rash over my body nothing helps how long will Prozac take to get out of my system?? going nuts! ## Hello, Carolyn! How are you doing? I'm very sorry about the rash. Are you sure it's from the Prozac? Generally an allergic reaction like that should occur right away, not after a 3 week delay. Have you consulted your doctor? Prozac has a pretty long half-life, so it will take a week or so to clear. ## Did your rash ever go away I'm having the same problem ..ever since I started Prozac I broke out with rashes and I stopped it about 2months ago and still so the only thing that helps is Atarax and thank God it helps with my anxiety also and is also not addicting.. ## Not sure if my question went through but I stopped taking Prozac...

I've been taking venlafaxine for about a year. I'm not a salt user. Lately my feet have been so swollen I can hardly bend my toes, and can hardly walk. Is this a side effect?ch ## Hello, Chopper6869! How are you? I'm very sorry about the problem that you're having. Whether you use salt, or not, you still end up ingesting a plethora of it, unless you specifically read all labels and research all your foods to keep it low. Sodium is in almost everything and it is very high in most processed foods, you even run into in most sweets. As to the edema, you really need to see your doctor about it. There is a chance that it could be due to the start of a possibly dangerous health issue. Are there any other questions or concerns?
