I recently tested positive for nortriptycine and cymbalta during a urine screen. I have been on penicillin and amoxycillin for several weeks following a tooth extraction. I have never taken either one of the drugs I tested positive for. What is going on here?

Just today my doctor informed me that he had my sample retested and the false positive for nortriptyline and cymbalta were from nicotine and alcohol!! (I drink on average 1 drink/day and smoke socially)
