Hello. I'm on day 3 of Celexa 20mgs and after my first dose, I woke up the next morning feeling better than I have in almost a year! But yesterday and today I feel, well, blah.... Every night when I take Celexa, about an hour later my stomach is in knots and it goes on for about 2 hours and then I get sleepy and go to bed. I awake the next morning and feel drowsy but coffee seems to help. My concern is, my doctor told me opposite of what I've read others say in that he says this medicine will not take 2 or more weeks to "kick in", he says I'll notice effects fairly quickly!? I don't feel as obsessive and my anxiety side effects aren't as debilitating but I do feel strange and very unlike myself now. Will this get better? After reading many threads, the last t...
i am on 75mg of venlafaxine per day. Are there any over the counter diet pills should stay away from? Specifically abidexin ## Hello, Shan! How are you? Actually, there is a possibly dangerous interaction between Venlafaxine and one of the ingredients in Abidexin. The green tea that's in it, when combined with the Venlafaxine can increase your risk of bleeding, so it is best not to take it. As to other diet pills, it would depend on their specific ingredients. Venlafaxine is an SNRI that's used to treat depression and anxiety. Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, mood swings and weight changes. Is there anything else I can help with?
I have been prescribed 50mil of depression drug Pristiq. I have all of my medications balanced to a good level. (I have been diagnosed as a manic, depressive, stuck in the depressive state, with very little or no manic episodes for years.) However when I take my new Pristiq medication, it brings me out of my depression, but I can tell the 50 mil. is way too powerful and it just sends my body into orbit! My body is stressed to the limit, I am anxious, and overloaded to the max. I need to find out if Pristiq comes in a lower dosages such as 10mil or such, or there is another matching medication that does. ## Hello, Debi! How are you? No, that is the lowest dose available. However, what you are experiencing could be the normal side effects that will start to wear off after a month, or so. M...
has anyone taken Qsymia to loss the weight gained by being on Remeron (Mirtazapine)? ## Hello, Basset Gal! How are you? There are two issues here, the first is that it is never a good idea to take another medication to try to treat a side effect that has been caused by a different one. Doing that just tends to compound the side effect problems. And the second issue is that the weight problem will continue, as long you keep taking the Remeron, so you'd just really be trying to fight a losing battle. The best thing to do, if they Remeron has caused you to gain a significant amount of weight would be to speak to your doctor about trying a different medication, such as Prozac, that isn't known to cause weight gain. Side effects to it may include nausea, dizziness, headache and weigh...
The pill has c14 on one side and then just a notch on the other side with no numbers or letters. Pill is white and oval. can't find the bottle but I remember it said hydro or something on the bottle. Found these in my sisters house just trying to look out for her. ## Hello, Hudder! How are you? This tablet contains 40mgs of Citalopram Hydrobromide, which is an SSRI antidepressant that's also used to treat anxiety. Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and weight changes. Learn more Citalopram details here. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I have found a bottle of these pills on the road and my friend told me the same thing as that other person (if ur looking for a good high just pop 2 of these pills)
Hi, I think I have laryngitis. My ear/throat hurts. I'm currently talking sertraline. Is it safe to take a pentraxyl to rid the possible infection? ## Hello, Totoro! How are you? No, it is never a good idea to take an antibiotic, just because you think you might possibly have an infection. If you don't and take one, you create the risk of developing antibiotic resistant bacteria. It would be best to see your doctor and only take an antibiotic, if they confirm the presence of an infection. Then you also need to make sure to finish the full course of treatment, as prescribed. Is there anything else I can help with?
Today is my first day reducing Viibryd after being on 40mg/day for 9 mths. The therapeutic dose of this anti-anxiety medication has me suffering panic attacks that can be set off by any sudden sound or movement, however normal, like the phone ringing, a car honking, the buzz of a lawn mower, etc. It's as if my mind cannot figure out where the sound is coming from or what it is, and the result of a simple something that doesn't seem to phase anyone else alarms my mind into bracing every muscle to fight for my life, only there's no danger. My 'coming to' and seeing in these situations that I am the only one in a panic ready to defend myself from a physical attack that is not going to take place then reduces me from a warrior braced for battle into a gasping for air hea...
I have been on 150 MG of Zoloft for anxiety for about six month (give or take). It has really help with my panic issues. I have felt much more like my "old" self. I am very active and my energy levels have remained high... I exercise 5-6 times a week (crossfit, kettlebells, intense cardio, and basketball). My issue/problem - I have been experiencing weird body rushes during heavy/hard workouts. I read up on brain zaps but what I feel is in my body (not head) and only happens when I am working out. It feels like an amped up adrenaline rush that I never experienced pre-zoloft. Could zoloft be casuing this? Has anyone experienced this? Thanks for any information, eah3 ## I took Zoloft for a number of years for OCD, but I never experienced such a thing while on it. Additionally, it...
Hello I was just prescribed 100 mg of bupropion sr twice a day. It's a blue pill that says E410. I was wondering if this pill causes weight gain? ## Hi Ali, How are you? Contrary to what you might be experiencing, the drug monograph for Bupropion only lists "weight loss" as a general side effect, and nothing to do with weight gain in that regard. However digging a little deeper I did notice other individuals post their concerns about having problems with gaining extra weight while they were taking Bupropion. With that said, part of me does wonder if taking this medication may have resulted in certain changes in behavioral/emotional patterns when it comes to eating more or less food throughout the day. The ironic part is that it also lists "loss of appetite" as a pote...
i have been taking buproprion, 200 mgs. twice a day, and efexor, 225 mgs. once a day for three years. i hum almost constantly, when i am alone, particularly when out walking. i have no other symptoms. i am being treated for depression. . i believe this is a side effect of the medicine. has anyone else had this symptom? ## Hello, Respirateur! How are you? I am sorry that you are having such a problem. But no, I've never heard of such a thing occurring from any medication. However, I am not sure if that might be included under what they consider involuntary actions, which I know can sometimes happen with some at high doses, since they aren't specific on what such actions are known to be. The fact that you only do it when alone also makes me suspect that it's most likely not th...

Updated in CymbaltaI just got the pills but I'm not how much to take. What's the dosage? ## Hello, Norisleft! How are you? This is a 40mg Citalopram tablet, which is an SSRI antidepressant. Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, headache, mood swings and weight changes. You should follow your doctor's dosing instructions, generally someone is titrated up in 20mg increments to a max of 40mgs once a day. Is there anything else I can help with?
Can adavan cause mental confusion? My daughter had surgery one week ago and in the hospital she was given adavan and has not been herself. sometimes she doesn't know where she is and it is terrifying me. I asked the doctor to stop giving her adavan and simply continue with her regular depression and anxiety drugs she takes a home. Will adavan cause mental confusion?? Thank you very much. ## Hello, Charmy Lou! How are you? Yes, Ativan is a benzodiazepine that's used to treat anxiety, nervousness, panic disorders and for its sedation effects. It could be the sole cause, or it could be the fact that it's being combined with other medications. It also carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability and mood sw...
Hi. I've been down this road almost 30yr. With all this, anxiety, panic attacks.side effect, different meds, nothing worked. Took forever and it turned my life upside down.not happy then. Been on cymbalta 10 years, its ran its course and making me jittery and nervous and shaky and confusion and focus are bad.tried before going off and was a disaster. Now it seems better, only been three days. Taking 30mg for 14 days then switch to probably effexor xr. Unless Dr. Has better idea. I also take ativan half milligram in am and pm. I sleep better and have no panic attacks at nite with it. Wellbutrin 100. For the calming effect. Not easy when you must change things around again. But I'm just lying low, but it really seems to be alot easier now. No major problems. But I've taken cymba...
I've had trouble with my since I was very young. I was diagnosed with scoliosis when I was in 4th grade. Now my curve has worsened, 52 degrees curved. Plus my disks are crumbling. They don't want to do surgery due to my age and the complications associated with the surgery. They have told me there's nothing they can do for me. I am taking Cymbalta, Celebrex, Lyrica, Tizadine, Tramadol 200 my time release pill. I am having really pain more so than ever due to the curve. I'm trying to force myself to stand up with out looking pathetic. I can't cope with this any longer. I don't want to fight to get on a pain pill which would help me. maybe my blood pressure would not be high. My med Dr will not prescribe narcotics. I respect her decision. She's told me there...
Hi all, I was wondering about the side effects from the generic Lexapro: Escitalopram 10 mg/daily. I used to take clonazepam for a few years and then switched to escitalopram, which I took for about six months when I dropped in cold turkey last year. Now, I am back on it, and the side effects are awful. I don't remember them being this bad. The dizziness, nausea, inability to concentrate and drowsiness is beyond belief. Is anyone else having the same problems? Do the dizziness and drowsiness ever go away? I have a very upbeat job and can't afford to not have energy during my 10-12 hour shifts. Also, I keep falling asleep during the day and I never take naps! I was put back on for my anxiety, not depression, and now I feel numb. Can someone relate to anything I'm saying? ## Y...

UpdatedI have taken Prozac generic fluoxetine for two years. I rec'd new prescription from Northside. Since I started taking this drug, I have been hyper not sleeping, major reflux and heartburn, and today started with diarrhea. I am planning to return this drug to the pharmacy for another brand. I suffer from Celiac disease and don't need the addition issues with stomache problems. ## I am very sorry that you're having such problems. There can be slight differences between generic medications and it may contain an inactive ingredient that you shouldn't take with with Celiac disease. Are there any markings on it? That would enable me to check it further for you. Learn more Fluoxetine details here. ## I did not see any markings on the capsule. It is a two tone capsule that is na...
