I started taking Gabapentin and about 8 days later I broke out in red sores and pimples on my entire back and shoulders. I wondered if anyone has reported such a reaction to this drug. I am now experiencing my throat swollen, red, and scratchy with white pockets. I did stop taking the medication and the skin is slowly clearing but the throat is still bad. Please offer some education back gound on similar concerns to date. Thanks J ## It really doesn't sound like something that was caused by the Gabapentin, especially what you're describing about your throat, that sounds more like a strep infection and the same could be true of the sores and pimples you had on your back, since it can also infect the skin topically. This is actually 25 mg of lamotrigine as the 100mg tablets are much larger and sheild shaped. I am suffering from a nerve pain and numbness. My doctor prescribed epileptin and the pharmacy gave me epleptin. I am worried that chances may be that these drugs Are not the same. When Will The Pin & Needles, Numbness, Dizziness, and Clumsiness Stop after I quit taking Topamax? ## How long has it been since you stopped taking this medication? I found out that the half life of this drug is just over 20 hours; meaning that it pretty much takes a full day for 'half of a single dose' to get eliminated from the body. Depending on the dosage & duration of time you've been taking this drug, it seems as if it would be in your system for up to weeks at a time. Perhaps this is why you're still experiencing possible withdrawal symptoms or side effects.That's just my theory anyway. Has anyone been taking this for mental issues and if so how does it make you feel ## Oxcarbazepine is an anticonvulsant and mood stabilizing drug, used primarily in the treatment of epilepsy. It is also used to treat anxiety and mood disorders, such as bipolar disorder. I did come across a brief article on the topic of using this medication for mental issues, however, it has not been as heavily studied as other similar drugs: ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17376019 I know this isn't necessarily the type of review you may be looking for, but I thought some information would still be more helpful than none at all. I found myself stumbling upon a few reviews by running a google search for "oxcarbazepine bipolar reviews". I hope this helps!

my son is in a rehab program. he just started the gabapentin and wellubutin the urine test came back as positive for benzo ## I know of a couple people (in a rehab program also, actually) who have come up for benzos on that mixture of medications. The facility sent the tests to the lab for further testing and there were no benzos. Sometimes the test cups are faulty. I am on gabapentin and I have tested for benzos myself never having taken a benzo in my life.

Can someone help me identify these pills: Oval Yellow Marked 13 / 9 On One Side And G on the other. Also found a Diamond Shaped White Pill marked 7427 on one side and 9 / 3 on the other.The "/" is a break section in each pill. I found these in an unmarked pill bottle in the room of my son, who is an active alcoholic. I just started taking 400 mg Lamictal twice a day, recently i started seeing minor amounts of blood in my stool. Is this a normal side effect of lamictal? ## How minor? I am extremely dizzy, have a very unsteady gait, and am finding the activities of daily life becoming a challenge. I stopped Neurontin 5 days ago after taking it for 8 days. How long will it stay in my system? ## It really shouldn't take too much longer, since you weren't taking it for that long. However, are you certain these symptoms have been caused by the medication?
