I went from 75mg (50mg at night, 25mg in the morning) yesterday and started my day with 50mg this morning. Since taking it at 9:45 AM, I've had diarrhea, lightheadedness, racing heart, nausea, shakiness, tingling in my hands and feet, mental fogginess, and just this general feeling of blah. I'm a 28/F and I've suffered with daily headaches since a car accident last year and my doctor prescribed topamax to help. I started out with 25mg and upped my dose every two weeks by 25mg until I reached 75mg. At 75mg I was down to 2-3 headaches a week and I thought that was acceptable until I saw her yesterday and she said she thought we could get me feeling even better. right now i am on a coctail of 2400 MG of Gabapentin a day as well i take supuedol right now for my back pain witch is forever... I was taking 10 Mg of oxycodone IR, i find the supuedol is not at all an IR pill, i can feel when it begins to work, my oxy IR pills wich cost less than the Supuedols,the supuedol can take 2 hrs before any form of relief,as well when i took the oxycodone IR the pill was working in 15 minutes, pls Health Canada, what is going on with these crappy pills, coming here from India,? why does Canada allow any meds in when we can make and distribute our own , in Canada.. please help !! today my husband got his perscription of Gabapentin 800 Mg, kinda creepy when it is an oval pill with no scoring on it, as well a light black tiny print of a G2 on one side,pill not score

I am very sorry that you have been diagnosed with Leukemia, but you may not ever actually find a reason. What is your prognosis? ## Verwon, Thanks for the response. I have CML and I'm working on getting this into remission. I did notice that many of the seizure drugs have side effects that negatively effect your blood counts and give certain blood disorders. What's the difference between the gabapentin and pre gabapentin ## Hello, Hende! How are you? The Pre is just an abbreviation for the manufacturer of that one, so there is no difference, both are the same medication. This is an anticonvulsant that's also be shown to help with certain types of nerve pain and some mood disorders. Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, mood swings and weight changes. Had 3 UTIs this year. Urologist suggested this med be taken daily for a year. I also have epilepsy and take topomax, dilantin, and climazapan. i think it is a terrible idea. Why did he pick that antibiotic? Hello everyone. I am a fairly new user to Topamax. Back in August I had Viral meningitis and Encephalitis. I was a very lucky girl. I had been sick for 2 days and had no idea why and just sort of brushed it off until I was basically delusional and my husband had to rush me to the hospital because I had no idea what I was doing. My mindset was basically that of a toddler. The doctors had told my husband and my mother that we were all very lucky because my brain had swollen so badly that any longer and I wouldn't have been around much longer. Hi I had injured my right foot while playing cricket couple of months back and CT scan revealed a minor metatarsal fracture which was treated by putting on a fibreglass cast. However I was unable to walk and then my doc guessed I also had a soft tissue / nerve injury in the foot and prescribed gabapentin. After about a week of taking 100mg gabapentin twice daily, my pain has reduced substantially and I am now able to walk properly. What I want to know is that does gabapentin TREAT a nerve injury or only reduce the pain till the time one is taking the medicine? Will the pain come back once I stop taking it?

My son is now 11 years old. When he was at 1.5 years old epilepsy attack (6 times) till his 8 years. Doctor advised to take Valparin 200, but some doctors advised us not to take valparin continuously that will affect any side effect on eyes. I have been taking the Gabapentin for three months now and initially I saw a great improvement, but not as much anymore. I have noticed if I do not have anything in my stomach when I take them that I feel even worse - dizzy, nauseous, and confused - basically drunk without any of the good feelings of being drunk LOL. But I have also noticed this feeling mildly even when I do have food in my stomach when taking them. This makes driving at all for more than a very short distance unnerving. I am not sure if anything can be done about this or if perhaps I should try a different medication? I am also curious if I can exercise while taking this medication. Is light weight training and cardio okay? My concern is the loss of balance issue at times that I cannot predict at all. I can just see my...

I am 21wks and take Vimpat 350mcgs twice daily. As long as I take it ev 12 hours after I eat my stomach is fine and it minimizes the sleepiness, otherwise I sleep all day unable to function. LOTS of water(a bottle) is necessary when taking a dose to dillute it in your system.

Can someone tell me why someone would take Neurontin if they do not need it? My daughter is a drug abuser...I do not know why or how she got this med but she has no need for it but takes handfuls of these pills. or..when she has Xanax, she'll take those as well...what effects is she having from this? I am patient from last 15 years it started when I am just 11 today I am 27 i receive seizure only once then i know i am patient of epilepsy but after stated tablet i have not receive again. But when my second baby born after 3-4 months I was faint for 2-3 times in a day and its just for 10-15 seconds doctor says they are seizures then they prescribed me twice daily.
