Sir, This is for general information, my son has once caught with epilepsy at the age of 3, now he is 11 years old and from that incident onwards our doctors prescribed him valparine 200 syrup till 2014 January after that given him epilex chorno 200 as well as 300 for the day (300 for morning time and 200's 2 tablet in the evening, now he is weighing 27.5 kg. I want to know what is exact effects of using all these medicines, as a growing child. Please let me know as early as possible.

I have had two surgeries on my knee. The last surgery had left me with nerve pain in my knee that runs up and down my leg. I have gone to too many doctors to count and have tried everything they have prescribed for me (from stretching to acupuncture to taking Gabapentin and thing like it) but nothing helps except 10mg oxycodone. The pain is horrible and sometimes the pain will last for weeks. I can't concentrate in school or even sleep. The only thing that has helped is the oxycodone but I'm 24 years old and no doctor want to prescribe it to me because they think I'm to young. Does anyone know if a doctor in San bernardino area that will help me?? How long can dizziness last after stopping Neurontin? ## Hello, Marykay! How are you? I'm sorry that you're experiencing dizziness. How long were you taking it and how much? Did you just stop cold turkey or taper? These details will all play a role in the answer to your question. It may take anywhere from a few days to several weeks. If you stopped cold turkey, there could also be a risk of seizures. ## Thanks. I did stop taking it cold turkey but didn't experience a seizure and about a week later the dizziness stopped. I just may not be able to take it. Haven't seen the Dr. who prescribed it yet.

I have been on 300mg gabapentin for 4 years--never more--same dose the whole time. Can I start having withdrawal symptoms if the dosage remains the same? ## Hello, Gizmo! How are you? I started onfi and my hamstrings are tight and sore, so is my sacrum area. One of the fillers in this capsule is corn starch and, as you may be aware, it is usually processed in facilities that also process wheat products, so much of it is contaminated with gluten. That means that yes, there is a possibility that there may be some in this. Are you having a problem with it? My mother is suffering for epilepsy. She has been admitted to the hospital 8times for last 1 and 1/2 years. Doctor prescribed her Lobazam 5 and Levipil 500. Now she is feeling drowsy and some time she has lost her balance. If it is a side effect of the medicine, then what should be our course of action? ## Clobazam is a Benzodiazepine derivative and yes, it can cause some dizziness and drowsiness, as a side effect. Levipil contains Levetiracetam, it is an anticonvulsant and it can cause the same types of side effects. So, the two together could even be compounding the problem. How long has she been taking them? I'm 37 years old. For the better part of my adult years I have experienced memory loss. I get confused as to where I leave things. keys, purse, etc.. It wasn't so bad in my 20's ,but in my 30"s I noticed a significant increase. This has caused me problems in many facets of my life. I don't take drugs or drink. Any ideas? ## Hello, Gissy! How are you? I'm sorry about the problems that you're having. There are actually several medical issues that can cause this, include some mild forms of epilepsy. Have you ever had this checked out? You should likely have some evaluations done to get to the root of the problem, you may require treatment.

Hello. I'm a 55 yr old lady who ruptured a disc in my spine. I was about 30lbs overweight. One of the Clinicians advised that losing the weight would help with the healing of my back. She put me on Phentermine and Topamax. The weight came off pretty fast, about 5 lbs per week. But the side effects were very unpleasant. I found myself planning my suicide. Came too close for comfort. So I weaned myself off the meds. That was 3 months ago. Since then, my hair has been falling out. It's about 3/4 gone with no regrowth yet. I also started having acne, like I'd never had before. It's like cysts on my face and upper chest. My digestive system is totally messed up with pain and diarrhea/constipation. Nothing has helped regulate it (such as Rx for IBS). All blood tests normal!!!!...

I have had non Hodgkins lymphoma b cell be treated for three years my last treatment was isolated so I did radiation finished last August my doctor put me on gabapentin 300 mg I have got two hard knots come up on my legs will this cause nodules ? ## Hello, Chris! How are you? With such a serious medical condition and the treatments you've had to undergo, you should have these checked out, as soon as possible. It isn't likely to be caused by the Gabapentin, its normal side effects include nausea, dizziness, weight changes, mood swings and dry mouth. Are there any other questions or concerns?

I suffer from epilepsy & agree that Trioptal results in memory loss. I spoke to my doctor about this, and he advised Neurobion injections. I haven't tried that but my gut feeling is that that just might work. (completely counter the effects of Trioptal).
