I was just prescribed some Gabapentin 600mg after being on the 300m for about 2 months. the later did nothing for the pain in my foot which the doctor says is nerve damage from being frost bitten a long time ago. I really do not think that they (doctors ) really know what is wrong with my foot. I have not been ministerd any type of testing. I believe that my doctors gave me this to pacify me. I have been reading on this website that this drug takes a long time to take effect something like 8 months to a year, and that it is not habit forming. I was prescribed 180 pills with 5 refills which makes me wonder why so many pills for so long. so far the 600mg are doing nothing for the pain in my foot, Does anyone know of this med helping them in any way. I really need some help for my foot sho...

I came up positive today for methamphetamine on a urine test. I've never touched that drug a day in my life. Does too much of it in your system cause that? I also take tegrotol, remeron, and catapress. They sent it out but I'm going crazy because I don't know what's going on....someone please help! ## I recently had a urinalysis sent to a lab. I just began taking Gabapentin maybe 2 to 3 weeks before this. I came up positive for cocaine and I never ever have done cocaine! My opinion is yes it does throw false positives. I spoke to someone who was in jail and people were coming up positive for benzos and cocaine while taking the Gabapentin. They actually quit giving it in this particular jail for this reason. ## I take Gabapentin but not cocaine, yet the drug test shows up...
Hello: I filled my prescription for Gabapentin 400mg capsules. They arrived in the correct packaging and are half puprle, half white capsules. I went to the Indian manufacturer's website and this med isn't even listed. Does anyone have experience with this company or this med? I filled my rx from them because I got sick of handing over thousands of dollars to doctors who just want to see you jump thru hoops. Any advice please? Thanks! ## Have you taken any? I highly recommend, from a couple years experience, Cipla generic, capsule form of gaba. I have had cervical dystonia for over 20 years and used the quite expensive, paying out of pocket, Neurontin, for several years too. Then various generics from Canada. Teva made it, and it was great. Making then both my Rxs for CD Teva. N...
I have started taking encorate 500mg along with oleptal 600mg + gardenal 60mg + frisium 20mg (one each in the morning and night). I have started feeling extremely tired and lethargic as I was also having hyper-acidity and nausea and some bouts of vomiting and tremors on my hands. Is this ok and should I continue? ## My wife has used Encorate 500mg since January 2000. Can anyone confirm that she will be alright?
I recieved 100 mg capsules from Combitic Global. They are not helping my Arthritis at all. I've been taking Gabapentin for years and never experienced this before I lost my insurance. I read a number of messages from customers saying their meds weren't working. Has anyone else experienced this from this company? I won't be ordering from them again-that's for sure! ## My investigation suggests that Combitic Global appears to be a well known drug manufacturer within the region of India. However I think it goes without sayin' that the quality assurance in India versus that of the US FDA regulatory standards may vary significantly. This is one of the biggest problems patients face when opting to not go through a licensed pharmacy that requires a prescription (whereas eve...
I picked up a new RX today for Topiramate 50mg. I received separate instructions from the doctor as well as what is written on the bottle; Take 1/2 pill at bedtime for 1week, then increase by 1/2 tablet each week until you are taking 2 tablets per day (for a total of 100mg daily). Unfortunately this particular pill does not have a center line to divide the pill. My question is, without the center line, can this pill be divided into half and still be assured that each half is 25mg? The manufacture is SUN PHARM - description - small yellow/beige, round pill with an S on one side and 710 on the other. Thank you in advance for your time! ## Hello, Linda! How are you? Yes, this tablet is a regular release formulation, so the medication is suspended throughout and you can cut it in half that ...

I have been taking Gabapentin since Feb 2015. I was taking 2 (300 mg) only at bedtime. I have been having mouth soreness and a taste I can not explain, even ice water makes me want to gag. Has anyone had any side effect from taking this, and having a sore mouth, with a nasty taste? ## I forgot to add on my previous post, that my Gabapentin was increased to 3 (300 mg) at bedtime April 16th, my mouth soreness got worse, and I have tried the Nystatin swish and swallow twice with no results. Water burns my mouth, this medication is the only new one I have started recently ## Hello, Deb! How are you doing? I'm very sorry about the problems that you're having. Is it ok to drink wine while taking this medication? ## No. Alcohol will only add to the rapid heart beat associated with this drug, and shortness of breath and general feelings of discomfort will follow. Gabapentin is useful in small doses for peripheral neuropathies and certain epilepsies, but side effects abound ~ many of which are life threatening. ## I'm not sure what Jim means by many of them being life threatening. Jim can you please post back with more precise details? As to the problems with alcohol, it's really that it can cause an aggravation of all of the side effects, so you may feel more nausea, dizziness, drowsiness and etc. than you would otherwise. Learn more Gabapentin details here. ## It's not a good idea to mix alcohol with any medication. With gabapentin...
What schedule is myprocam 15 mg? ## Can I take 25mg topamax with 15mg myprocam at night? ## I have been on Myprocam (15mg), but recently had an arrhythmia attack (my heart went out of rhythm). My dr has now put me on Crestor and Cardicor. Could the Myprcam have caused that? ## Hi. I'm and I wake up and have difficulty walking and bending due to hectic pain in my left leg in the groin area. This morning i took a Myprocam 15mg with 2 Panado and was only feeling the relief of the pain hours later. I took another Myprocam now. This medication is reportedly used to treat Muscle spasm related with acute, pai...
My husband was recently prescribed gabapentin 300 mg 1 cap at night for neuropathy. He took it one time and drank a beer about 3;00am the nest day around noon his face began to swell up on both sides and his mouth on the inside went numb. He took benedryl but continued to have swelling even 24 hours later. Could this be an allergic reaction? Thank you. Jan ## Almost certainly, seek medical advice without delay; allergies can be fatal. ## Hi Jan, The US National Library of Medicine states that facial swelling is in fact an allergic reaction associated with Gabapentin on the following page: ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/PMHT0010419/?report=details#side_effects Ironically, they also list facial swelling as an allergic reaction to Benadryl, but seeing as he took Gabapentin first, this sound...
Does the cream actually go through your bloodstream? I have taken Gabapentin in the past which started out okay for a while, but then I had an issue with it & went off the pill form of the medication. I was told since it doesn't go through your bloodstream that the cream should be fine. Please let me know what you think and also if you know whether it's true about it not going into your bloodstream and causing any of the same side effects as the pill form. Thank you. ## Hello, Diane! How are you? A little does, but just trace amounts, not any significant amount that should cause side effects or reactions. Most of the reactions to these topical creams are limited to skin irritation wherever you applied it. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Thank you, that helped me q...

It is quite severe the cancers or ulcers are the size of a Nicole each one and there must be over 10. Extremely sore. Salt water rinse every two hours and medicated numbing liquid like a mouth wash so I can eat once a day. Hello of a diet. Went off the meds for now. My mouth is just too sore ## Hi, Sherril! Sorry about how miserable you are, that's quite awful. From what I can find, it has been reported that Gabapentin can do this, though it is a very rare side effect. Have you consulted your doctor? I’m in New Zealand. My usual funded Gabapentin has changed drug company, to a funded APOTEX Gabapentin. Anyone taking the same stuff. I was on 200mg capsules. These new APO ones are 300mg. The pharmacy told me they had changed but did not mention the mg had changed. Meaning I’m taking 500mg extra per day. BUT even though I’m on a bigger dosage they don’t seem to be working.
