I want to long-term store sulfamethoxazole for potential emergency use. What is the PRACTICAL shelf-life of this antibiotic? Forget about the manufacturer's statements. I am itching all over from a reaction to Bactrim DS. Can I take a Percocet with it? How does it interact? ## Percocet will not do anything to stop the itching. It is an opiate narcotic that is used to alleviate pain. I have been prescribed teva 3109, which is Amoxicillin 500mg (for a tooth infection) & I can't swallow the pills. I wanted to know if it was possible to just take the powder that is inside the capsule? Will it still fight off the infection? ## It will still fight the infection. I can't swallow pills either. Started out with a gum infection and started taking amoxicillin 2 days ago. Went to the dentist and found out I had a root infection under my crown. He said he fixed that today and just take Tylenol since I'm pregnant. However, few hours later and I'm still in severe pain and can't touch the tooth. Is it normal for the actual tooth to hurt this much still? I have been on Trintillex for several years now. I do not have any side effects. I did have headaches and dry mouth in the first several months.
