I had a throat infection and chest infection coming on and because I'm travelling I always take some procain penicillin shots with me as they help me recover quickly and faster than the orals. I've used them for about 15 years when I needed to. But this time is life changing and no one understands. I'm hoping there is someone this happened to, to talk to. As soon as I had the shot which was administered into my upper bottom hip area (same spots for years) as soon as pin out I had a rush of blood go through my body to my head, then a ringing sensation in my ears, then felt dizzy and lost all orientation, followed by very very fast heart beats and then loss of breathing. I fell backwards on the bed and started yelling "get me help, I'm dying!" Then I felt like I wa...

I do not have access to any other antibiotic at the moment but do have some nitrofurantoin. Will it help with what looks like an infection from a cut on my leg? ## It might not, since this one is usually used mainly to treat urinary tract infections. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea. Have you consulted a medical professional? They should be able to prescribe something that will help and work better for you. Are you on any other medications?

Is Spin SP good for numbness in my feet or not? I seem to have weakened nerves in my feet. ## According to the site 1mg, the drug SPIN appears to contain Sparfloxacin 200 mg manufactured by Lancer Health Care Pvt Ltd. Does that information appear on your prescription label? If so, then it is an antibiotic, so I am not sure if it will help with neurological issues, unless a bacterial infection is the underlying cause. Otherwise, if this does not appear to be the same drug that I am talking about, can you please reply back with the ingredients listed on the label? Also, what has your doctor told you?

If pencillin tablets are kept in fridge and have the gel pac in the bottle, how long will they be good for. My mom has some that have a 2010 date and says they should be okay since kept in fridge. I understand they will have lost some of their potency but will they be toxic? We have both used her antibiotics before past expiration and they worked fine but it has been awhile since I used them and the date has gotten older. ## No, they do not become toxic, but they may have lost most of their efficacy, especially since they were stored in the refrigerator. According to FDA regulations, not only is that too cold for pills, it also creates the risk of moisture increasing how the rate of their degradation. At this point, it would be best to dispose of them, and if an antibiotic is needed, yo...

How are you? I can't answer as to whether or not you're pregnant, the only way to know that is by checking for pregnancy. Does anyone know where I could get prescribed samples of this medicine? My dr. had enough for me to last 4 days and I'm supposed to take 3 pills a day for 14 days. I need 30 more pills. I live in Dallas, Texas. Please help. The cost for me to get this med is 400.00 with my insurance which is out of reach for me. ## Hi Bella, You could try asking your doctor for samples. Sometimes doctors carry sample packets of the medications they most often prescribe when they're given them directly from the manufacturer's drug representative to offer to prospective patients. Also, if your doctor prescribed a 14 day course of treatment, I don't see why they would only write you a prescription for 4 days? I think there definitely needs to be an open line of communication between you and...

However I've been prescribed 1 pill twice a day for a week. I'm half way through my prescription and I don't see any improvement. Any suggestions? Will it work eventually? ## Hello, Simone! How are you? Has there been any improvement, yet? The general rule with antibiotics is that if they are working, you shouldn't see any worsening after being on them for a full 24 hours and you should start to see improvement after taking them for a full 3 days. If there is no improvement after that time, then you should consult your doctor. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this antibiotic as possibly including nau...
