These are the same medications, they both contain Sulfamethoxazole with Trimethoprim in the same dosages. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea.
Are you sure your doctor told you to take them both? What other medications are you taking?
