I went to the dentist Nov 30 for pain in my back molars. She found I have a gum infection from my gum growing over my teeth. I had my wisdom teeth out 3 years ago and I guess that's how they healed and food gets stuck in the gums. I've been taking the Amoxicillin 3 times a day and the antibacterial mouthwash that was also prescribed. My gum pain almost seems worse today December 3. I feel like it's not working. It is supposed to be stronger than normal antibiotics for staph and also work on those staph infections that are the drug resistance ones. The pill is actually called cotrimoxazole ds--po tab. I'm assuming the PO meanby mouth then tablet. Thru searches I have found this to also be called Cotrim Oral and Bactrim as well.
