Should I be taking Sulfameth Trimethoprim 800/160 while I am taking 4 mg of Warfarin daily? ## Were these prescribed by the same doctor, so they are aware that you are taking both? The Sulfamethoxazole in this antibiotic can cause increased plasma concentrations of the Warfarin, which can increase your risk of bleeding, so someone that is using both must be carefully monitored by their doctor, because their INR should be checked frequently.

What does it mean if you have mental changes while on cipro? Why does this happen? Could this indicate I have a mental problem? I had the same problem with predazon. Except when I woke up my face was red and puffy. They think I have a allergy to predazone. Any way just concerned that this has happened with two medicines. So far no other side effects from the cipro. Just the mental changes. It's getting better as I let it leave my system. ## No, this doesn't necessarily mean you have a mental problem, it means the medication is having an odd effect on your body. Hi....For the last 2 days I am suffering from loose motions and fever. The doctor that I went to today prescribed Clavicef. Frankly I am scared about this drug. Because in the past I have seen that any medication / antibiotics prescribed for stomach upsets usually worsen my condition and I end up being hospitalized. I am not sure whether I should start this course or not. I did mention my fear to the doctor but was told to try this medicine and let him know if the condition worsens. And that is not a good enough assurance. ## Clavicef contains the active ingredient Cefixime, it is an antibiotic and it, as well as all medications, always carries the risk of side effects. These side effects can include: nausea, dizziness, diarrhea and skin rash, however, they should only last for a few da...

I think the pharmacy gave me the wrong pill and now they are closed. My Azithromycin has always been pink not white and this one is white with GGD6 on it. ## Well first off, let me state that when a medication is available for generic production, it is made by many, many different companies and each pill will look different and have a different marking. The color actually means NOTHING. That said, this is, indeed, Azithromycin 250mgs. ## zithromycin comes in many shapes and colors it needs to be verified in the drug books with alll identifiers ggd6 bis not listed anywhere but here and it took me 2 hrs to find something on it

what antibiotics are mainly used for wisdom teeth infections ## I'm not too fond of prescription drugs, but I think Cephalexin is one of common interest. It is an antibiotic used to treat various types of infections. To view information about this drug please click on the link below... Although I personally suggest looking into Clove Essential Oil. It's a natural remedy for dental issues as far as alleviating tooth aches (anaesthetic properties) and fighting infections (antibacterial, antimicrobial, antifungal properties). Just make sure you don't use a lot of it at once (no more than a 2-4 drops in the desired area, as it is very concentrated and may be toxic in large doses. This generally is not something to worry about as you won't need more than the minimum amount to...

Can you tak this med if pregnant and if it is expired by a month and a half ## Nitrofurantoin is an antibiotic, so while it does not get dangerous to use after its expiration, it can lose potency and will not work as well. That creates the very real risk of developing antibiotic resistant bacteria, which would be especially dangerous while pregnant. If you feel you need an antibiotic, you should see your doctor for a diagnosis and new prescription. As to using it while pregnant, it should also not be taken anytime after your 38th week, due to the babies immature red blood cells and the effect this medication can have on them. Have you spoken to your doctor, yet? ## I just took left over amoxicillin and nitrofur for a Uti that just became really bad. I'm hoping this will hold me over...

What is the real shelf life of Watson 499 doxycycline? Can an outdated pill be harmful or merely lose some of its potency? ## The danger in using an expired antibiotic would probably not come from the product, but by the ineffectiveness it would have in fighting off the infection it was prescribed for treatment. This sounds as if you or a friend has some "old" Doxy lying around and would just assume use it rather than getting a new prescription filled. The problem with an expired Rx is that it will have lost some of its potency over time. Using the expired Rx could cause issues with microbial resistance amongst the bacteria inside your body, and eventually leading to having to take an even stronger (and maybe more expensive) antibiotic to get a hold on the infection. It's ju...
