Most medications that use Mox in the name contain the antibiotic Amoxicillin, but the duration of treatment and frequency they are taken depends on the dosage and severity of the infection being treated. The medication can also cause side effects, such as: nausea, dizziness, diarrhea and skin rash. Have you consulted a dentist? I took this drug about 5 hours ago. I am now very itchy and my skin is red and hot especially in the joints and my head and neck groin and backside. I have taken a shower but it did not help. What should I do? I have taken this as macrobid before and have never had this reaction or any for that matter. ## Have you consulted your doctor? It is normal for your body to change, with time, as you age, so it is always possible to develop an allergy to something, even if you have used it before, without any problems. In addition, though they are considered inactive, the fillers in generic medications are usually different than those used in the name brand, so it is possible to have a reaction to one of them, as well. In this case, it's probably not advisable to continue to use this medicat...

Is Zenflox 200 mg is used for typhoid? If yes, what is the dosage for children below 10 years. ## Zenflox contains the active ingredient Ofloxacin; this is an antibiotic, which may be used to treat various types of infections. I haven't found anything indicating its use for typhoid. Floxin is not licensed by the FDA for use in children due to the risk of serious reversible and irreversible injury to the musculoskeletal system. Other fluoroquinolones do have a limited licensed uses in children but are generally not recommended due to safety concerns. Ofloxacin (and its derivatives) has also been associated with a few isolated reports of unexplained pediatric fatalities. My foot bumped with a sofa corner and got a painful and swelling reaction right away. It's been a week already but the swelling and the pain just don't stop. ## An antibiotic will only help if you have an infection, such as what might occur if your foot was cut or scraped and bacteria got into the wound. An infection would not occur immediately, it would take a few days to set in and cause any swelling or problems. In addition, if you use an antibiotic, when you don't have an infection, you run the risk of developing antibiotic resistant bacteria, which could cause serious medical issues in the future. If it swelled immediately after the injury, it is not likely an infection, but something else. It could be a broken bone or a sprain. Have you visited a doctor, yet, to get it...

I took doxycycline in feburary for a root canal then in april for sinus infection. Now my gyno has me on it because she removed a cervical poylip. I'm wondering if taking this so many times is harmfull or will it break down your imun.system? ## It really depends on the specific bacteria being treated. If they are all the same, then yes, you do run the risk of developing antibiotic resistance, which means that, in the future, this medication may no longer work for you. However, if it is still working now to treat or prevent infections, then there is really no reason to worry. In many cases, doctors like to reuse an antibiotic that you have taken in the past, because it's already been established that you aren't allergic to it. However, if you are concerned, then in the future...
