Is it dangerous to mix methadone & ciprofloxacin, & if so what would be the percentage rate of those who could be affected??? ## This combination of medications is actually not recommended, because the additive effects may cause QT prolongation and cardiac arrhythmia. There are no specifics on a percentage rate of how many people might be affected, however, if this has made it into the drug warnings, then a pretty high number of people had to have experienced it. Has your doctor advised you to take them both?

I DON'T SEE WW951 LISTED AS AMOXICILLIN ## I just looked this up under a few drug databases, and can confirm that WW 951 is in fact Amoxicillin (875 mg). The manufacturer of this specific pill is West-Ward Pharmaceutical Corporation. The pills physical description is: Capsule shaped and pink; with the marking WW 951 on one side of the pill and a score line down the center of the backside of the pill. i've been taking sufameth/tmp ds prescribed by my doctor for a nose infection , i've taken it 3 days and my b.p is very high,my stomach hurts, i don't feel like eating, i feel terrible, can i stot this medication now. ## It sounds like the side effects of this drug are worse than the symptoms you were trying to fight. I think that anyone who is experiencing this degree of side effects should contact their doctor as soon as possible to let them know what your experiencing and seek out other remedies. Following up with a Naturopath is probably going to be a "safer" alternative than returning to your doctor for more prescription medication, as you pay the price in side effects rather than for it to just work how it should. Is it ok to take both Nitrofur Macr 100 Mg & Doxycycline 100 mg? ## Has your doctor instructed you to use both? There are no interactions listed in my resources, but you should check with a doctor or pharmacist to be certain. Can Nitrofuran Monohyd Macro 100 mg be used for abscess infections? ## Nitrofurantoin is used primarily to treat urinary tract infections. It also notes in the guidelines that Nitrofurantoin must never be used to treat pyelonephritis, renal ABSCESS, and pyeloempyema because of extremely poor tissue penetration and low blood levels. Based on the above info I think it would be beneficial to contact your local pharmacy and/or doctor to find out if it is right the specific type of infection you are referring to. Hope this helps!

I have a white oblong shaped pill scored to break into 2 large chunks on the ends and 2 smaller in the middle. the number 718 is written on it and it looks like an M or W logo...any ideas? ## Is there a chance that the marking is 713 instead of 718? I think I located a match, but the marking shows 713 W (it is also white and oblong). The number 3 can appear to be an 8 in some cases, so I thought it would be worth a shot. The pill with this marking is identified as Cefprozil (500 mg). It is used to treat bronchitis, ear infections, skin infections, and other bacterial infections. I had a urinary tract infection and the culture report found that it was an e. coli infection. ABST revealed that it was resistant to nitrofurantoin and ciprofloxacin. My doctor put me on cefixim for 10 days. It has apparently gone away but I fear a relapse. I also take cranberry capsules (4) and 750-1000mg of vit. C. and drink a lot of water. Should I have continued with cefixime for a longer period to achieve a complete cure? By the way, I wear a catheter and a urine bag as a reslt of incontinence following radical prostatectomy. ## Hey.. I took the last tablet of tis medication yesterday. About 5ish this afternoon, I began itching and broke out in hives all over. Is it possible this condition isfrom the this medication. ## I have taken 5 sulfameth/TMP DS tablets and am itching all over (no rash) and have pains in my stomach. Should I stop taking them? It is a long week-end so Doctors are not available....should I call the phamacist? ## Have either of you consulted a doctor, yet? It is possible that these symptoms are from the medication, but they can also be caused by many other things. I am currently taking this and clindamycin/HCL for a infection after surgery that has been slow about healing and very swollen and a little red my questions can you also take medication for heartburn with this because I have bad heartburn at night and it is keeping me awake I have perscription medicine for my stomach but I do not take it regularly also would it be ok to quit the clindamycin I only have 1 more pill to take? ## You should finish the full course of the antibiotics, even if it is just one more tablet, to ensure that it can reach its full efficacy to help fight the infection. I am taking Sulfam tri tab, and forgot I was on it (only 2nd day) took one of my two today and had a drink this evening and was hit with extreme nausea and overwhelming hot flashes...is this normal? side effects ## From what I was able to gather, Stafloxin in from the Philippines, and is classed as a penicillin. It is used pneumonia, septicemia, endocarditis, infected prosthesis, acute staphylococcal osteomyelitis, skin & soft tissue infections, infected burns & staphylococcal joint infections, staphylococcal meningitis, enterocolitis; emphysema & other resp tract infections; UTI. Common side effects are: Nausea, diarrhea, flatulence, headache; hypersensitivity reactions, transient SGOT & SGPT elevation, occasional reversible cholestatic jaundice, renal effects in newborn & infants receiving high doses, aggravated CHF (high dose).
