I just had a root canal for one of my teeth and the treatment is still going on for another tooth. My dentist directed me to take Sumo (nimesulide 500 mg + paracetamol 100 mg) and Droxil 500 mg two times a day for as many days long as the treatment is going on. As a result of this, I often feel weak and drowsy. Do these medications have any side effects? Are there any other safer alternatives to these medications?

I have a terrible rash on my neck, chest and spreading to my breasts. I am on 20 mg. of prednisone (reduced from 30 mg) and have been for almost a month. Could this rash be from the prednisone?? ## It might be, but I have to say that it's rather difficult to say, because there could be several reasons. Aside from the fact that there's always a chance of suddenly developing an allergy or sensitivity to something, regardless of how long you've been taking it or been exposed to it… These steroid medications also have an effect on your immune system, so it could have caused an allergy or sensitivity to something else to pop up. My dentist just gave me teva-naproxen but it's not effiecient. Last time, he gave me something else but I don't remember the name... It was a really small white coated pill with a black inscription on it. It's not a lot of information but it's all I remember. I'm almost sure it was an Anti-inflammatory or some kind of pain reliever used by dentists. ## Disperzyme tab. is prescribed by urologist as anti-inflamatory drug but can anyone tell me if it has to be taken before or after meals and how many in a day.

The best time to take predinsone is during the day because the side effects usually occur at night and it has been proven to make u feel very restless and moody be certain to drink plenty of fluids to keep your body hydrated while taking this steroid i have had asthma all my life it is normally controlled with my albuterol but spring calls for prednisone lol hope this was helpful.... ## Thanks for sharing that bit of information. I'm taking Naproxen Sodium/Anaprox DS,and Sulfameth/Trimethoprim/Bactrim DS, for an infection and Percocets for pain. Will ESB Bufferin ever come back on the market? Bayer does not work as well. ## Extra Strength Bufferin (ESB) contains 500mgs of buffered aspirin. Have you ever tried taking 2 regular strength buffered aspirin. I think its effects would be similar to taking an extra strength one? CVS still sells it's version of "Buffered Regular Strength Aspirin Coated Tablets" OTC, containing aspirin (325mg) + calcium (35 mg) + magnesium (40 mg); which appear to be the same ingredients found in the extra strength version (just at different dosages).
