Some of the most common side effects include: nausea, diarrhea, headache and flatulence. ## Misoprostol may also be used to end a pregnancy as an alternative to a D & C procedure. I just started prednisone 10 mg pills for bronchitis and asthma. The dose is 4-3-2-1 3 days each. I lost a pill at the beginning. What is my best day to reduce 1? ## When u r down to two do not take any away from the beginning that is when the medicine that is when the medicine is trying to pounce on the problemwhen you get in a lower doses it doesn't matter as much not really going to text you a whole bunch anywhere but in a perfect world right before the end but not at the end is best but does not so much matter
After 10 plus years on 4 to 5mg prednisone my Dr. wants to taper me off. I heard that you will no longer produce it naturally in the body after that many years, is that true? With two Auto Immune Diseases I really don't want to remove this medication. His alternative is to go on a relatively new immuno suppressive Medication called Aubagio, anyone taking this/feedback? ## Tapering you off of it is to prevent the issues that would occur with sudden withdrawal, such as your natural steroid hormones being screwed up and not produced by your body, anymore. Aubagio is classified by the FDA as an immunomodulatory drug, so it works differently than the steroids and there is less risk of someone developing a severe infection, while on it. Its typical side effects may possibly include body a...
I have a bad pain in my hips and wanted to know if 2 Naproxen 500 MG would be too much to take...I'm hurting pretty badly. ## Hello, Terri! How are you? It would be best not to double up, unless your doctor approaches. Naproxen is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory and taking too much of it, as listed in the FDA warnings, risks severe stomach and/or liver damage. Especially if taken for long periods of time. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, increased risk of bleeding and stomach irritation. Is there anything else I can help with?
I am allergic to dyes and it is so difficult to find pm pain relief ## Hello, Vickie! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you're having. The PM pain relief formulas only contain the relevant medication, such as Acetaminophen (Tylenol PM), Ibuprofen (Advil PM) or Naproxen (Aleve PM) accompanied with Diphenhydramine (Benadryl). Thus, if your doctor approves, you could most likely find dye free versions of both of them and just take them separately. I know that many Acetaminophen tablets are available as just white tablets with no dyes, plus Benadryl has a dye free formulation available specifically for people with such allergies. The FDA lists the typical side effects of these medications as possibly include dizziness, drowsiness, nausea and stomach irritation. Is there ...
I have a really bad sore throat and coughing ofr the last one week. I took two Paracetamol 400mg to stop me for coughing. Is this going to harm my baby? I am 12 weeks pregnant now. ## Which medication did you take? Did you take one that is a combination of Paracetamol and Aceclofenac, or did you just take Paracetamol? Paracetamol by itself is safe to take while pregnant, but the Aceclofenac is not. However ... Paracetamol will not do anything to help with coughing. Aceclofenac is classified in FDA pregnancy category C. "In rabbits, treatment with aceclofenac (10 mg/kg/day) resulted in a series of morphological changes in some foetuses. In general, the regular use of NSAIDs during the last trimester of pregnancy may decrease uterine tone and contraction. NSAIDs use may also result in...
Is it necessary that all PMR-symptoms are gone, before you reduce the dosis of Prednisone? ## If I have had a sever reaction to prednisolone / prednisone, what can I take if I have polymyalgia Rhumatica? I have many other drug allergies including morphine and codeine derivatives and other narcotics.
What kind of pill is this and what are the side affects? ## Hello, Bonnie! How are you? This tablet is manufactured by Teva Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 600mgs of Oxaprozin. The FDA classifies this medication as a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory that's used to treat pain, fever and swelling. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding and stomach irritation. Is there anything else I can help with?
I have ciatic problems and somebody recomended this pills ## Hello, Jose! How are you? I'm sorry that you're in pain. Tribedoce is just classified by the FDA as a B complex vitamin, so it won't treat pain. B vitamins can support nerve health, but they will not work like analgesics do. They can also cause some nausea, in some people that take them. Diclofenac is classified as a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, it's used to treat pain, fever and swelling. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding and stomach irritation. In the U.S. Diclofenac requires a doctor's prescription. Is there anything else I can help with?
I'm a 74 yr old male and have gained 20lbs on prednisone for PMR and my face and stomach are bloated. Dr started me on 25mg, then after 6 wks and blood wk, reduced me down to 12 1/2 mg and then symptoms returned. I went to 12mg and now 10mg. and I'm ok so far. What is the outlook for people like me on prednisone with poly myalgia rheumatica? ## Hello, Rip! How are you? The side effects you've described are common with long-term use of steroids and won't likely go away, as long as you are taking it. Other side effects, as listed by the FDA, may include nausea, dizziness, fluid retention, acne, nervousness and insomnia. Unfortunately, there aren't many other treatment options for this condition and the Prednisone is usually taken for a year or more. Have you had any im...
Is this cream good for ingrow hair ## Hello, Carlos! How are you? Did your doctor prescribe it for you? It is listed by the FDA as containing Betamethasone, Clotrimazole and Gentamicin, so it can be used to treat such conditions, but only if deemed appropriate by your doctor. If used improperly, the steroid in it, Betamethasone, could actually worsen some skin conditions. Its typical side effects are listed as possibly including redness, skin irritation, rash, dryness and acne.
i have leg pain 8 month, i took buruffen.now one dr.said take olfen. thise all so pain hillerno.iwant prmnent releve.plz give advaise ## What is causing your pain? If it is an ongoing, degenerative condition or something that cannot be fixed or won't heal on its own, then there isn't much chance of your finding permanent pain relief. Olfen contains Diclofenac, it is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory used to treat pain and swelling. Side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, headache and stomach irritation. Read more: ## I want to know what kind of medicine is this and the function?..is this body pain reliever, because i have back pain (disk) so can i use this medicine? please advise.
My Mother has a large white round prednisone pill with 3342 on one side and she can't remember the dose ## Just posted question on prednisone dose. Large white round pill with 3442 written on it. I put wrong numbers in. ## Does it also have DAN DAN on it? If so, then it is a 10mg Prednisone tablet, a steroid used to treat conditions such as allergies and inflammation. ## If you are on prednisone 10 mg for allergies and you're taking them for 12 days one a day will you have side effects. Had a steroid shot two weeks ago and had no problems.
Next month, after 3 yrs of unbearable pain, Im finally getting back surgery! (new disc, screws, plates, & rod ) My question is, Ive been on 500 mg of naproxen twice a day for over a yr. How long would it take to clear the nap. out of my system to safely take voltaren 75mg. Norcos are causing such painful constipation that it isnt worth it. Steroids were the best thing ever for reducing the inflammation & thus the pain but I cant take them anymore as they drove my blood sugar so high that i am, for now anyway, a diabetic. Hope someone can help me. Thank you! ## I'm very sorry that you're in so much pain! That's horrible! Both Naproxen and Voltaren are classified by the FDA as being nonsteroidal anti-inflammatories, so unless your doctor specifies otherwise, you should...

How are you? Medications do tend to lose effectiveness over time, this one doesn't become dangerous, but it may not work as well as it did, when it was new. Have you asked you doctor about that? They may feel that it's okay for you to try it. The FDA classifies this medication as being a steroid and its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, acne, weight gain, fluid retention, elevated blood pressure and elevated heart rate.
I am taking a naproxin sodium in the morning and at night but would like to have more relief during the day. Would Instaflex be the answer? ## Hello, Nettie! How are you? Instaflex is only classified by the FDA as being a nutritional supplement, so it isn't actually proven to help with anything. The manufacturer lists it as containing Glucosamine, MSM, White Willow Bark extract, ginger root, boswella, turmeric, cayenne and hyaluronic acid. It is also always best to check with your doctor, before taking any supplements, as they may be contraindicated with some medications or health conditions. This may help you, but there's no way to say for sure. Is there anything else I can help with?
