I went down from 30mg of prednisone to 20mg for a month. My doctor is tapering off the prednisone by 10mg each month. When will I be back to normal? ## Most likely, a few weeks after you have finally completely stopped taking it. The typical side effects, according to the FDA, may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, acne, irritability, nervousness, and insomnia. How are you feeling, now? Why were you taking it for so long? Are you on any other medications?

this is for pain they send it to me it is amazing THIS IS WHAT IT,S CALL ARTRIFIN I HOPE YOU CAN FIND IT FOR ME ## Hello, Dolores! How are you? This product actually combines a complex of B vitamins with the nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory Diclofenac. So, it may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, stomach irritation and increased risk of bleeding. And if you've been taking it, without your doctor knowing, then you should inform them, because it may be contraindicated with some medical conditions and medications. ## Do not confuse Artribion for arthritic pain with Artrifin, which is a supplement containing Chondroitin and Glucosamine, for joint articulation. I know since I take both. I'm in Costa Rica where Artribion is easily available and inexpensive.

I'm taking 500 mg naproxen and 2each apap/codiene #3 300/30 for sciatic nerve pain. I'm Still in Pain! What can I take in addition to this combination without putting myself in further health risks? (I have Tramadol, Alieve and arthritis strength Tylenol on hand) ## Hello, Frances! How are you? Are you sure that it's sciatic? It's kind of funny, but given all of my knowledge of medications, side effects, and etc. I didn't know until recently, when my husband mentioned it, that sometimes the sacral area is thought to be related to the same area, and he was right. Totally changed how I handle the pain. As to the medications, given how much you've already taken, you need to consult your doctor, because it looks like you might need a stronger medication to alleviate ...

My doctor prescribed 20mg of Prednisone to be taken 3 (60mg) at a time once a day. I took my first dosage around 3:30pm and accidentally took another 3 tables (60mg) around 11:30pm the same day. Should I be worried? What should I do? Thanks. ## Hi Bob, In the event of an overdose I'd probably call my prescribing doctor immediately and leave a message at the very least... If I felt my life was in danger I would've also called poison control. If you are in the US, the number for American Association of Poison Control Centers is: 1 (800) 222-1222 and they can be reached 24/7, 365 days a year. But I guess the bottom line is, how are you feeling right now?

which one has got lesser sideeffect as to say about drugs omnacortil 5mg compared to deflazacort 6mg, when used for treating behcet's disease ## It doesn't matter what is being treated, all medications carry the risk of side effects and there is no way to say which will cause less for anyone person. All medications can affect people differently. Delfazacort is a glucocorticoid used to treat inflammation and suppress the immune system. Omnacortil is Prednisone, a corticosteroid. These are closely related medications and both can cause side effects such as: nausea, drowsinss, dry mouth and weight gain. Need to know if my left over naproxen is still good. It was filled on 6/10/14. I broke 2 of my toes and I am in pain. ## Hello, Kathy! How are you? This medication does not become dangerous, once expired, but it can lose some efficacy. It would really be best to dispose of it and see your doctor for a new supply. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding and stomach irritation. Is there anything else I can help with?

Voveran Plus contains the active ingredients Diclofenac and Paracetamol - It is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory that is used to treat pain, fever and swelling. I'd like to know about the availability of artridol. ## Hi Roy, From what I've been reading in some of the other threads here, it looks like Artridol is commonly available as an over the counter medication in Mexico. However, if you're looking for it in the US, you'd probably need to visit your doctor for a prescription first, as it does contain Rx ingredients. I also posted some details on Artridol (back in Nov, 2011) in the following thread that may be of help to you on your search. Apparently the ingredients can differ depending on which country you get it from... Can Aleve be taken at night if you are taking oxycodone/acetaminophen 5-325mg during day? ## Hello, Joan! How are you? Yes, you can, as long as your doctor approves. The FDA classifies Percocet as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Aleve is classified as an NSAID and its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, increased risk of bleeding and stomach irritation. Yes, they are the same, the acetate just designates the specific chemical salt that the medication was derived from, so if you look at various FDA and NIH listings, you'll see many medications listed as Oxycodone Hydrochloride, Losartan Potassium, Morphine Sulfate, and etc. The FDA lists typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, acne, insomnia, and nervousness. I have diclofenac that was prescribed 9 / 2013, is it still okay to use? ## This medication does not become dangerous, once expired, but it does start to lose effectiveness, so it may not work as well as it did, when new. Additionally, due to some of the risks associated with it, it isn't safe to double up. Thus, it would be best to dispose of the expired medication and obtain a new supply, if you still need to take it.
