I have severe pain from a fracture in my vertebrae. I am currently taking diclofex 75mg SR(prolonged release diclofenac sodium tablets) twice a day but it's just not doing the job and my pain is still bad most of the time. Can I take paracetamol or another pain relief med once a day as well?

My dermatologist prescribed me 12 tabs of prednisone at 5mg for the first 5 days, then 8 tabs at 5mg for 5days, then 4 tabs at 5mg for 5 days, then 2 tabs at 5mg for 5 days, then 1 tab at 5mg for 5 days, then 0.5mg for 5 days, then stop. For some conditions that is how it's done, a high dose for awhile, which is then slowly tapered, so yes, this is normal. It is the tapering that is important, if you're on it for more than 5 days. Hi - is it possible to have bad side affects from only a 7 day course of the drug prednisone? I've been battling bronchitis and was prescribed 20 MG of the drug last Monday (almost 2 weeks ago). I was prescribed 40MG the first day, then 20MG a day for the next 6 days (my last dose was last Sunday). My bronchitis is alot better, but everyday I've had these wierd sinus headaches and diziness that start about noon and get worse throughout the day. I also had really bad insomnia - didn't sleep for almost 2 days after finishing the prescription. I've been taking Tylenol PM which has thankfully allowed me to sleep, but I don't like how I'm feeling during the day. I also feel alot of fatigue and bloating (my legs especially). I was diagnosed with Bells Palsy and was given Prednisone to reduce inflammation. I was on 120 mg for 3 days. Then 80 mg for 3 days. Then 40 mg for 3 days. Then 20 mg for 3 days. Then I was done. I have been off for a week now and within that week I have developed severe acne on my chest, back, neck, face, etc. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this? I have read acne can be a side effect, but most things I have read have came from people who were on Prednisone for years or months. ## These steroid class medications tend to linger and continue to have effects in your body, for awhile, after you finish your course of treatment. I am using calana, a calcium blocker medicine. Now I'm suffering from high blood pressure with a moderate reading of 150/70. Hi, I just wanted to know that anti inflammatory drugs can delay periods. I was having a muscle spam happened on 3rd day of my period. Doctor suggested some anti inflammatory drugs along with analgesics. I took it from 3rd day of my period to 12th. We are actively trying for a baby. Now I'm two days late. My cycle length is 28days and don't usual gets late. Is it because of the medication I took. Any insight will be helpful. My Husband is being treated for an abscess but he now has a lot of pain and swelling is it possible to take 400g ibuprofen and 100mg of Mesulid together to manage the pain. ## Essentially, this would be doubling up, since these medications are basically in the same class.
