I have to take this med for 9 days. My first dose is three tabs of 4 mg for a total of 12 mg. My doctor started me on apo-prednisone 5mg for a rash all over my body and scalp. My plan is to start with 10 pills then taper by one pill every second day down to zero! How many days should I actually be on these then if tapered properly? ## Hello, Sheryl! How are you doing? That would be a total of 10 days, on the 11th day, you should be out and not have any pills left to take. The NIH lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, fluid retention, acne, insomnia, nervousness, and elevated blood pressure. This medication is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory that is used to treat pain, fever, and swelling. The NIH lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding, and stomach irritation. However, if your pain is due to an ear infection, you may also need an antibiotic, or the Voveran may not help much. What has your doctor instructed? Are you on any other medications?

Can I use Diclofenac with my blood thinner Warfarin? I have been told by Dr.'s no, but this Dr I have now says yes... Is Diclofenac a blood thinner? ## Diclofenac is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, so according to FDA reports, it may cause some blood thinning as a side effect, along with nausea, dizziness, headache, and stomach irritation. Thus, usually it is best to avoid taking it with Warfarin. Is there anything else I can help with?

I've found out a great deal already by similar discussions on your site, however this Apotex pharmaceutical company seems to have a broad spectrum of prescriptions ranging in difference primarily by just a # and occasional change in color.. I was prescribed 20 mg predizone for my hands. I started taking them yesterday. I only took one o at 4: 00 pm. Now its 6/3/17 at 8: 07 am. I have a headache. My question is, can I take one excedrine now and then at 4: 00 take my next dose of predizone.? ## Generally, the FDA recommends that you not take the Excedrin with Prednisone, due to the Aspirin in it and the fact that it can compound the gastrointestinal issues that both risk causing as side effects, such as nausea, bleeding, and ulcers. If your doctor approves, it might be better to just stick with Tylenol/Acetaminophen, while you are taking the prednisone. Is there anything else I can help with?

I was given amox-clav 875mg 2 times a day for a upper respiratory infection. Along with prednisone. I am on day 3 I am still running a low grade temperature and coughing. Is it not working? I was given diclofenaco 100mg in Mexico and I was pain free in 2 days. Can't count the pills I've taken over the years to no avail. Surgery and fusing is all my US doctors could see as a cure. Only take it for flare ups and 1-2 tops. Wish I had found this years ago. Was on the "disabled" list for 3 years. Been working now 1.5 years without a hitch. ## Hi, Tom! Wow! I have a chest infection. Dr prescribed 1 and a half pulmison for 5 days and clarahexal antibiotic for 10 days. I have had a terrible headache all day from the pulmison and nothing takes the pressure headache away. I take diclofenac 75mgs DR tablet, it says to take one twice a day. I was wondering if I can take one three times a day? The first day of my last period was 10th of july 2013, I hvnt seen it till now. I tested postive to being pregnant thou. I got cytotec, drank 2 and inserted one.
