Is there Sulfa in Diclofenac and will it have an effect on my Sulfa allergies? ## I also have a sulfa allergy and have taken diclofenac with no problem. ## @Nancy, Just to confirm, Diclofenac Sodium is not a sulfa-based drug; but rather a 'sodium salt'. So my understanding is in line with Karen's (post #1) in that you shouldn't experience any problems relating to a sulfa allergy. I am a Nigerian. I am pregnant and I can't keep the child, my pregnancy would be 1 week from my supposed missed period date. On the 5th day of my pregnancy I took 4 misoprostol under my tongue. I had cramps and diarrhea. I didn't bleed very well. Bleeding did not last more than 20 minutes so I was scared and I took another 4 orally and I slept off in pain. No bleeding still. I woke up on the 5th day of pregnancy which is today and no bleeding just cramps, so I swallowed the remaining 2 misoprostol tabs and up till now no serious bleeding. I am scared. Do I need help or is the pregnancy already aborted in the initial light bleeding period? ## Did it work for you or are you still experiencing the same symptoms now?

I'm not sure how your country handles drug laws and expiration dates, so I can only provide you with information that I am familiar with from the U.S. FDA. From their efficacy studies, when left in the original factory sealed containers, it was found to retain full efficacy for 3 years, but once that container was opened and it was dispensed in a pharmacy/chemist's container that exposes it to the elements that cause degradation, that efficacy could only be guaranteed for one year. I inserted about 12 misoprostol virginally, 24hrs after taking miferpostone orally. I did the inserting with a 4hr margin because there was no blood, after about 2 hours after last insert, I experienced light bleeding and minor cramps, I had just 1 blood clot. Hi I have Churg-Strauss Syndrome very rare and had it 11 yrs ago. Have been on prednisone for all these years...10 mgs for past several years. Well now my pulmonologist wants to get me off (I also got Sjogren's 4 yrs ago) and he tapers 1 mg for 3 mos then goes down again..I get into respiratory trouble with asthma usually around 7 or 6 mgs. I was recently prescribed 5 mg of Cortef and I have been prolonging going on it because of the potential weight gain.
