I’m having a hard time understanding it.
Updated in LidocaineCan lidocaine and epinephrine show up as benzoylecgnoine on a random drug test? I had 2 dental appointments a week prior to the test. I had used some oral gel on the sensitive area around the crown as well. I also took a couple amoxicillin, and some airborne because I was going on a trip and my sinus were bothering me. I used a nasal spray as well. I don't recall the name but I can provide that If needed. About 3 months ago I started taking supplements including iodine, methyl defense, D3 5000, osteopenia ultra, ultimate Onega 3, and progesterone. I was taking valacyclivir for cold sores. Until recently when I started the supplements, I am the kind of person who does not even take Tylenol. Appreciate your assistance. ## I had a tooth extracted at the dentist office. They injected 25...
Hello out there. I was just wondering if anyone out there has ingested a little of their topical pain compound to further help pain and if that is terribly horrible for you. I wear a fentanyl patch too 25mcgd and nothing ever seems to help. Any info on ingesting the topical compound would be great. Thanks! God bless you all ## Hello, Moni! How are you? I'm sorry that you're in pain. But no, there is a reason this is a topical compound, it is not safe to ingest it in any amount. Yes, it can be terribly horrible for you and very dangerous. If your current medication regimen isn't handling your pain, you need to discuss the issue with your doctor. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Hi there! Thank you for your response. I was not quite sure about what to do. I had been ...
I know this is in the clinical trial phase to some degree but have been reading about people who have seen their doc for a ketamine infusion or nasal spray for treatment resistant Major Depressive Disorder (MDD). I guess what I don't understand is if the clinical trials are only to learn how ketamine rapidly produces positive effects on people like myself, who've been treated for many years with many drugs and never found anything to relieve my MDD. Does anyone know where I can find a doctor in my state, AZ? I saw a list in the Ketammine for Depression forums of doctors who use it for depression but I can't afford to drop in to UCLA Medical center for a shot at treatment. My MDD has lasted over 20 years with very short (6 week) remissions. The past 6 years I've had no re...
Can dormican be be used for isomnia? ## Dormicum contains the active ingredient Midazolam, which is a Benzodiazepine and yes it can cause drowsiness as a side effect, so it is sometimes used to treat insomnia. Learn more Dormicum details here. Has it been prescribed to you for insomnia? ## I start take 7.5 gm if dormicum it only work for me for one night now am up cannot fall a sleep after taking a second dose to night please tell me what can I do to sleep ## Yes I take Dormicum as well. "reference post July of 2015" The problem for me, as with in general all benzodiazepine meds, is I build up a tolerance rather quickly. The Dormicum works amazing well for like the first 3 nights, maybe four, then, I have to increase the dose to 2 x 15 mg of Dormicum (Roche midazolam) and, by 10...
I have been using 5% lidocaine patches for at least 3 years @ $47.00 a month a box of 30, they are not adhering as well as they did before and are now smaller in size. Shingles is painful and itching, even after the outbreak has healed. It is difficult on just a SS check to afford these!! Whats going on ?? Any coupons would be appreciated. ## I have nothing to add! I don't feel for the price this product is worth it . ## Won't your insurance pay for the patches? I have gotten prescriptions from my doctor and my insurance paid for them I just had to pay my copay of 3.00 and if Actavis is the manufacturer there have been many complaints about them not just with your patches but with pain medication ## Sorry to hear about the cost of this med being a challenge. One option might be ...
The brand name patches are very good! They stay on my skin very well. However they will irritate if on passed a day or the next morning. The generic patches are useless everything from sticking together, to itching, to dropping off the skin,to curling in the corners is true. I have found that if you put a sock, a glove (a cloth glove, that will keep moisture out helps for the patch to stay on and in place. I did not like the generic patches, unfortunately my insurance will not pay for the better one.And now I can't get them at all!!!!!Try not to lotion down nor shower just before putting on. If you go out try to keep body cool as the patch will peel if any kind of sweat gets around the area.
Updated in LidodermI have not opened it yet, but it was expired. It was prescribed on 11/27/13. Can I still use it? Is this safe? ## It does not become dangerous once expired, according to NIH studies, but it can lose efficacy, so it may not work as well as it did, when fresh and new. It would be best to see your doctor for a new prescription, if you need to use it. The FDA warns that its typical side effects may cause skin redness, rash, irritation, and flaking. Are you on any other medications?
I had asked for assistance in finding this product once before, but I think I may have spelled it's name incorrectly. This is a cream that comes in a tube that is used for smaller-scale burns: when you touch an iron, hot pot, stove, etc. It works like a dream, but seems to be impossible to find in any pharmacy, at least in the places I asked for it. Any suggestions, please pass them along. Thanks. ## In the U.S. it is listed as being the main ingredient in several brand names, such as: Almay Anti-Itch Lotion DermaFlex Pramagel Lagol and Xylocaine. So you may wish to try looking for it under those names at your local store and pharmacies. ## Verwan, Thank you for the information about the burn cream I inquired about. ## I've known of this cream since I was a kid. My mom brought i...
I am getting electrolysis twice a week for facial hair. The electrologist has been putting a topical 5% lidocaine on my face to numb the pain from the needles. I am applying for a new job and will take a urine test and wondered if this will cause a problem or show up in some way in my urine? ## It is difficult to say, it really depends on how much of it is being used and the concentration of it. It is chemically related to Cocaine, though distantly, and just like Novacaine and other similar drugs, it has been know to cause false positives for it, on some drug tests. It may be best to stop the treatments for several days, before you have the test, to possibly give your body time to process it out. Are there any other questions or comments? ## Will a 5% lidocaine patch show up on mouth sw...
I have suffered with complex regional pain syndrome for over 15 years, living in constant, severe pain. I am looking for an MD in TN who uses ketamine, particularly ketamine infusions. Anyone know any MDs in TN who will treat pain &/or depression with ketamine IV ketamine infusions?? ## Try Michael Baron, MD, MPH, FASAM, a triple board certified psychiatrist and specialist in chronic pain and addiction, recently joined The Ranch as its Director of Behavioral Health. ## Ketamine Treatment For Major Depression: recoveryranch.com/specialized-programs/ketamine-treatment ## Looking for Ketamine treatment in Alabama. If anyone knows a provider please reply. ## The Tennessee Ketamine Clinic uses Ketamine IV infusion for pain. Best wishes! ## Batman, I also may be interested. Is your provid...
Hi, I have a couple chronic sports related injuries and a new issue in my neck causing some referred nerve pain into my head. I started cymbalta about 7 weeks ago, it has helped tremendously in my mood and depression, and maybe a little bit so far for my pain, so I am hesitant to stop it just yet. I recently had a 45 min Lidocaine/ketamine infusion, though my pain doc explained it was mostly lidocaine. He did not want to administer too much ketamine the first time. I have another scheduled in 5 weeks. It's been a day, and I certainly feel more uplifted, but it's difficult to say if the pain has improved just yet. Anyone has success with these infusions? If so, how far apart were your first few infusions? Or perhaps you didn't need more than 1?
Updated in KetamineMy neurosurgeon told me to avoid NSAIDS or anything that will thin my blood because I am scheduled for surgery in 6 days. I am in excruciating pain because I had to stop taking Voltaren. I have a topical solution that has Ketopro 10%, cyclobenzaprine 1% and lidocaine 5%. I can't get in touch with the mail order pharmacy. Does anyone know, if any of those will cause blood thinning? Thank you! ## Yes, the Ketopro stands for Ketoprofen, which is an NSAID, so it should be avoided, before surgery, according to your doctor's instructions. The FDA lists its other typical side effects, when used topically, as possibly including headache, skin redness, irritation, and flaking. Is there anything else I can help with?
I am wondering if I can take lidoderm 5% (lidocaine) while on 130mg of methadone? ## What can I use for charot marie tooth disease if my pain is a 10? ## @Adrianne, According to the University of Maryland Medical Center (umm.edu / drug interaction tool), there are no interactions listed between Lidocaine and Methadone. That said, although it may appear to be safe to use together, I would still encourage you to contact your prescribing doctor first or a pharmacist who can assure you of this information. @Tom, Have you discussed any potential treatment options with a pain management doctor or specialist? If not, this may be your best starting point as they can make the most appropriate recommendations based on your medical history and so forth... I hope you both are doing well!
I recently had a hair and urine test taken. My hair sample tested positive for cocaine but my urine sample was negative. So I asked the people from the drug testing lab if me having a tooth pulled could be there reason why. He said no, even though the dentist injected me with lidocaine, articaine, and marcaine ...on top of the prescription drugs; which were hydrocodone, ibuprofen, and penicillin... I just want to know can any of this cause a false drug test reading for (cocaine). I don't do any drugs nor do I smoke. I need to no what can I do to keep my record from being destroyed... ## Hello Dent, There has to be a connection between lidocaine & cocaine because there are several people that this has happened to. I am not a drug user and rarely even drink alcohol but tested posi...
I have taken an ear drop containing 14mg of benozocaine per ml. I have used about 4 or 5 ml in the last 2 days. I have a court ordered drug screen tomorrow. Will the amount of benozocaine i have used in the eardrops show up as a false positive ## Considering i had one over cepacol go bad, check your sobriety dates for benzo's. Gl and gb
Does anyone know where i can buy some ketamine from in india? ## I'm sorry, but this drug is constrained by the relevant federal laws and are unable to provide anyone with such information. Ketamine is very potent and is highly regulated in the U.S. Are there any other questions or comments? ## I think it is utterly ridiculous that a drug, in use since the 50's and widely used in a pediatric population presently, should be so restricted just because some people have used it to get high!! It has a long history of safety for use in human beings. Millions of people, including myself, have suffered for YEARS (17 myself), wishing to die on a daily basis, unable to have a LIFE because of this hideous affliction! I became ill after the birth of my son 17 years ago and it has cost me EV...
Can i use a lidocaine 5 patch if am allergic to codeine? I suffer from shallow breathing and an increased heart rate with codeine. ## They are different medications, and since the Lidocaine is a patch, your body usually doesn't absorb much of it. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including skin irritation, redness, flaking, and rash. However, it is always best to pay attention, in case you experience allergy symptoms to it, as well. How is it working for you?
I am getting marcaine injections and am on lidocaine patches. I have a urine drug screen this week and am wondering if these can potentially cause a false positive for cocaine? ## i think it would i tested positive for coccaine and i get lidocaine injections in my back ## Please help my Daughter has tested positive for cocaine from her pain clinic and she goes in every week PLUS she does random drug testing threw the county because CPS is involed . She has had her kids back for 3 months and she had tested positive b4 so thats when CPS said that they wanted to do the color coded radom ones BUT she does not use cocaine !!!! the medicines she has been taking for almost 8 years now are Oxycodone/Acctaminohen 5/325 1tablet every 4 to 6 hrs needed for break threw pain, Morphine tablets 30mg 1...
The dermatologist put me on this 30Gm keta 1%/amitr 2%/lipo cream, also 1200 mg NAC capsules. Can you tell me what these are? Thank you. ## The cream is used to treat pain, the FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including skin redness, irritation, dryness, and flaking. The NAC is a nutritional supplement that may cause nausea, due to its potency. Is there anything else I can help with?
