Amneal Pharmaceuticals Hydrocodone 10-325 (Page 4)

I have been taking hydrocodone 10-325 (made by Watson) for about a year. I picked up my prescription yesterday and instead of the normal yellow pill, I received a white oblong pill imprinted with m367 on it. I took 2 for breakthrough pain and had no relief what-so-ever. I called the pharmacy and was told that they will no longer be able to get the med from Watson. Does anyone know what has happened? I have chronic pain, and these white ones from Amneal Pharmaceuticals is not going to cut it. Has anyone else experienced this?

Some doctors will not do this. Some do not think there is much, if any, difference in generics. But it won't hurt to ask.

Same thing happened to me!! Is this company run out of a garage!? If this company was a professional outfit this should never happen!! I'm taking my pills to be tested elsewhere, not at Amneal. They probably won't do anything! Keep these companies from India in India and their garbage medicine out of this country!! Of course its cheaper for Walgreens to buy!! From the way I feel the 10/325 is a placebo!! It does not make the pain stop!! I have had chronic pain for over 20 years! I know when a medicine doesn't work! I'm getting withdrawal symptoms, not pain relief. Sneezing, itching, major anxiety, bones are aching, diarrhea, chills, upset stomach. It's been hell!

I was in dire straights an hour ago! I know not flu. I took BOT medical in college & am in tune to my body! I also am very sensitive to additives & fillers & dyes. I drank a lot of real lemon juice & am feeling better, my liver was toxic, I don't drink alcohol! I won't point fingers, I will see my doctor asap (tomorrow) on an emergency basis! The only thing different is the amneal product & it made me sick from day two! But I kept taking it, thinking my body would adjust, not!!! I am so sick, my kids told me to go to hospital, that I looked bad!! (sick). This is just my opinion & observation for my body! Always check with a medical professional when starting, stopping, changing meds or taking any otc product

Please keep us posted!! Amneal has made me very sick too!! Keep a pill so it can be analysed but a lab not associated with Amneal. We all need to know! I am very sensitive too and this medicine has made me sick too!!
If people say you should go the hospital you should! Dont take chances!

The pharmacist didn't tell me when they changed to Amneal. I told them I could not take this garbage because of its side effects so I didn't bother to see if I got the correct medicine. I didn't find out until I got home and they won't take it back so I could get the medicine somewhere else! This is so wrong! They need to tell the consumer when they change medicine brands! It should be mandatory!

Don't waste your time with Amneal. Report it to the FDA. Them asking you for all that information is wrong!

Absolutely it’s the medication. I was able to get a new scripts by reporting it to the doctor insurance company and pharmacy. I had the doctor give me a receipt as I gave him the meds. There’s too many people having these reactions the FDA will go out there if they receive enough complaints especially from the pharmacist. Feel better

I tried FDA, online, website a pita!! I am going hollistic & herbs, supplements... Amneal products almost sent me to ER, my liver!!! Thank God I have home remedies!! Feeling much better now! Even my children said I looked really sick!!! Western medicine is so dangerous for my sensitivities!!! Good luck everyone!!! Blessings to all!!!

Hi Lynn. I know it was awful. I was sooooo sick as well. Choose the 2nd option in the link for the FDA (in post # 70). Glad you are feeling better. Any info you don’t know regarding particulars of the product, call your pharmacist and they will know it.

Thx! Hope you find relief!!! Many blessings!! I am going hollistic & other natural remedies!!! I am sick of big pharma & all the loops & hoops & judgements!! I have always been responsible with all my meds & maintain on no more than 25mgs or less daily!!! I have been on pain meds since 2004,so what does that tell you?? I am not addicted, I clean my body out every few years,get healthy!! Western medicine is so toxic to our bodies,you need to give your body good stuff from time to time! After all, humans have been using medicinal plants for eons!!! Good luck all!

This situation you find yourself in is a result of the political climate on pain medications. This IS NOT a Republican or Democrat problem. Politicians in both parties are saying that all pain meds are evil. I have emailed every Representative that I can about differentiating between street level addicts and legitimate people that have been responsibly using their pain meds for YEARS. It is insanity that ALL patients of pain medications are grouped in with street level drug addicts but unfortunately that is where we are. I have never gotten a response from anyone in Congress. We are just going to have to put up with the nonsense for now. The Dr.'s and Pharmacists and Pharmacies are being browbeaten and sued unmercifully. Some of these groups know that if they cause these people and the drug manufacturers to have to spend millions to defend frivolous legal suits they will have no choice but to drop out of the legal pain medication markets. A lot of people/companies do not have the resources to fight these repeated so called "legal" assaults.

Yes! I’m struggling with the same thing! I’m scared to talk to my dr. But I’ve been taking 10/325 of hydrocodone by Watson 4 x day for the last 2 years , I’ve been fine.... functioning working and pain is tolerable , last Fill was also 10/325 by New Brand by AMNEAL..... it’s doing absolutely nothing, I took 6 instead of my 4 and it’s still barley doing what the Watson brand did... and my mouth is soooo Dry it hurts to drink :( dr . Apt tomorrow what should I do.... I think I should try something different

The Amneal 10/325 has so many bad sides affects along with doing NOTHING to alleviate the pain!! Dont get your prescriptions at Walgreens. They only carry Anmeal. If you can get the Mallinkrodt. It works. Sorry for your troubles. I am going through the same thing. Bring what you have left to your doc. Tell him you are having problems with it. Get a receipt from your doc documenting how many you returned and get a new script. But stay away from Walgreens. Its all they carry. Kroger I believe carries Mallinkrodt. Call around. Or try the mom and pop pharmacy and see if they will order for you. Amneal is the lousiest generic I was unfotunate enough to be prescribed! Its nasty! I want to get it analyzed and see what all is in it! Good luck!

You are so right! It's so messed up! I've had back pain for 20 years! It is documented! I'm not a druggy and don't like to be treated like one! I don't sell my medicine!! I take it as the dosage describes!
