Are Amlodipine Amlovasc the same as Amlodipine besylate? ## Yes, Amlovasc is just a brand name for Amlodipine, so Amlodipine is the generic and is usually cheaper to purchase. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I live in South Africa and do not know if this will be of any help. I use Amloc, 5mg. Amloc is amlodipine maleate, which does not cause any swelling. Previously I was on amlodipine besylate which caused me to swell up like I was trying to outdo an elephant. My neighbor experienced the same - besylate causes swelling, maleate does not. Both are amlodipine, only different components of it.

I noticed my husband cant have sex because he can't have an erection because he is taking Losartan 100mg and Amolodipine bysilate 10mg and he is also taking another one but I am not sure of the name. I just had a mouth swab drug test for my job and it tested positive. I for one do not use drugs and i've had the swab test four other times and never failed. Now i'm on these blood pressure pills and I don't know if that could have caused it. The medication is called amlodipine and because of this situation i've lost my job.

I am 60 years old. I have replaced amlodipine 5 mg with Telma 40 three months ago. Since then for the first time in my life my blood sugar has gradually increased up to 115 on fasting. I am now 70, Indian, fish-eating, diabetic (type-1). My husband takes the blue generic version of amlodipine/benazepril. When the pharmacy filled it again they shipped Dr. Reddy's brand of 5/20 amlodipine/benazepril and when he started it he had chest pains and anxiety.
