I noticed my husband cant have sex because he can't have an erection because he is taking Losartan 100mg and Amolodipine bysilate 10mg and he is also taking another one but I am not sure of the name. With this medication for high blood pressure, is it possible that he can take a lower dosage in his medication, so he is able to perform in bed? Would that help him if he takes a lower dosage? Please help, he is really upset about this. I have never seen him so sad and disappointed. He said he does not feel like a man anymore.

Yes, that can be a typical side effect of most blood pressure and cardiac medications, according to the FDA. He may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension.

In this case, I think the best thing to do would be for him to consult his doctor. He may need dosage adjustments, as you've mentioned, or he may need to be switched to different medications. There are many others available that he can try, it's really a matter of trial an error to find which ones work, without causing unwanted side effects.

How is he doing, now? Has there been any change?
