My pharmacist changed my regular amlodipine 5 mg zyd to amlodipine besylate 5 mg which is a much bigger pill. Is this the right dosage? I was detected hypertension 2months ago.I did not have have symptoms and while checking my Blood Pressure it was detected.Lab investigations were normal exept slight raise in my Triglyceride. When I consulted my Physician in the evening he has prescribed amilodopine Tab 2.5mg. After taking the Tab the next morning I met the next Physician for 2nd opininon and to my surprise he said my B.P was normal yet asked me to continue the same. I have been using Asomex AT for last 3 years. Recently I am experiencing a pricking pain on the upper side of left brest, very often at resting/sitting condition. whil;e walking no pain is felt. what could be the possible cause? I am a 51 year male.I am advised to use Asomex-D from 2007 for treatmeny of high BP. from 2005 I am taking medicines for High BP. barring 1-2 incidents in this period my blood pressure has been normal I am getting checked it at least in 2-3 months time. I have got ECG at least 6-7 times in this period and also tredmill test all have been normal. Doctors say I shouldnot stop taking Asomex -d tablets.
