My doctor prescribed AMVASC BE 5mg to my mom as an additional medicine for her regular morning med COMBIZAR. This is bec around 3am her blood pressure shoots up. But after dinner her BP is 110/60 should i let her take AMVASC still to prevent blood pressure going up later during the bight or will this medicine shoots down her pressure since her BPP before going to bed is 110/60? Thanks
As to the Besylate and Camsylate, the only different is a slight one in the molecular weight from the manufacturing process, however, they both work the same in the human body.
JC, this site is not medical professionals, so we cannot possibly suggest proper drug use.
Have you consulted with her doctor about this? It is important that her BP be kept under control, but you also don't want it to drop too low and only they can decide what is the safest option.

Amlodipine is a long-acting calcium channel blocker and there are several alternatives available on the U.S. market.
You can see a list at this link:

Have you spoken to your doctor about what other medications you may be able to use?
Hi,
My mom has high blood pressure and has been taking the drug Combizar for more than 5 years. I recently talked to a nurse and I happen to mention that my mother is taking Combizar for her HBP. This nurse said that Combizar increases the risk of Leukemia.
I told my mom to consult her doctor about this. Her doctor said that Combizar does not increase the risk of Leukemia. Can you please clarify which is true? Thanks!
i used to take Eslo 5mg but have run out of stock and we dont have it available where i live. Can i replace it with Amvasc 5mg. Will there be any complications
