what was the retail price of chlortrimeton 4 mg in 1949 ## I've seen Chlor-Trimeton Allergy Relief 4 Hour Tablets range from $4-$7 in the current retail market, depending on the manufacturer and number of pills. Unfortunately there's no specific details online regarding Chlor-Trimeton prices in the 1940's-1950's. Apparently the patent for this medication was approved prior to Jan 1, 1982; but that is all the information I could gather at the moment. Do you know someone who has taken this drug within that era?

I just got cheratussin ac and it is very very light pink almost clear, Is this the right color? I am asking because it is not making me drowsy and is not helping my cough very much. ## Cheratussin AC - Syrup contains Codeine (10 mg) + Guaifenesin (100 mg) per 5 mL. As far as I'm concerned, if your label is similar to the one in the link below, then it is supposed to be a very light reddish pink color: NOTE: You may have to scroll down the page to see the label. As you can see, they put "red #40" in the inactive ingredient list. Whether or not the color matches is one thing, but if it doesn't work for you then you need to consider contacting your doctor or pharmacy about stronger forms of this medication. It sounds to me like you might need something double that strength ...

Tussinex and Tussincaps are already on the market and while it does work to calm cough its become notorious for the high it gives since the antihistamine in it potetiates the hydrocodone! it should be taken off the market since any opiod drug can suppress coughing and sneezing and they arent as mind altering as this combo! ## Based on my research, both of these drugs do interact with one another. Quoted below are the precautions that more people should be aware of: "Using Chlorpheniramine together with Hydrocodone may increase side effects such as dizziness, drowsiness, and difficulty concentrating. Some people may also experience some impairment in thinking and judgment. You should avoid or limit the use of alcohol while being treated with these medications. Avoid driving or operat...
Aside from the numbers, what is the difference between Sudafed L432 and Sudafed 44 112? My pharmacist gave me a packet that describes the pills inside as being a "RED, ROUND-shaped TABLET imprinted with L432 on the front." BUT the pills I got had 44 over 112 instead of L432. Is it the same thing or did they give me the wrong pills? ## @Ade, Both pills in question are identified as Pseudoephedrine hydrochloride 30 mg (the generic of Sudafed). However, because each tablet is manufactured by a different company, not only is there going to be a slight variation of inactive ingredients (binders/fillers), but also since the medication is in generic form, it is permitted by the FDA to be allowed to contain as much as 20% more or less of the actual active ingredient as well. For some pe...

I was given sulfamethoxazole to treat sinus infection. I developed a rash on my penis. Can i use triamcinolone to treat it? ## The rash that developed is actually listed as a severe side effect of Sulfamethoxazole. Because it is in this category of severe effects, I highly recommend contacting your doctor about switching medications or adjusting the dose appropriately. The rash will eventually go away if you stop the medication (since Sulfamethoxazole is the source of the problem). So using another medication (such as Triamcinolone) to cover it up may not get rid of it completely or at all, while you are still on Sulfamethoxazole. I hope this helps! ## In addition to that you need to be very careful using Triamcinolone. It can cause thinning of the skin, typical of steroids and that is ...
took a urine test and was told that I tested positive for benzo. I have only been taking chlortabs. Does chlortabs contain benzo as one of its ingredients? ## Hi Blue, The term "Benzo" or Benzodiazepines is actually referring to the drug class or type of drug that it is corresponding to. In this case, Chlortabs (chlorpheniramine maleate) is in a class of medications called antihistamines, and it appears that you got a false positive for a Benzodiazepine class drug ('such as' Xanax), which are most commonly used for treating anxiety or depression. From what I could gather, there are a lot of over-the-counter medications that may test positive for Benzodiazepines, so it may be in your best interest to contact the lab for a re-test, if possible, depending upon how severely ...
